He is also not racist which the FA and Patrice Evra himself went to a lot of trouble to make clear to people.

Absolute horseshit.

We've played better footy than your ****e all season its just your hoofball to Fellani is a hell of a lot more effective.

Surprised you didn't come in for Carroll but your tin pot club wouldn't of been able to afford him!

With all the medals Stevie has, with all the times hes previously had Everton off and made their players look as ****e as they are and beat them, and with singlehandedly winning us cup finals, trust me Stevie could never "embarrass himself".

Small club who play **** hoofball. Glad Stevies said it how it is.

Would you like to compare those stats over the whole season?

The fact you are still deludedly trying to deny Everton are a long ball team and make out yur about pass and move like our new style is hilarious.

It would put his putdown nowhere because come May, which is the only time this matters, we will be above Stoke.

So it's all Kenwrights fault? Is it Bill who picks the teams for the derbies. Was it Bill who managed to completely **** up the tactics in last years cup game? Is it Bill who identified Fellaini as the best man to hit long balls up to?

If it wasn't for Kenwright you'd have lost Moyes many years ago. Either sacked after the seasons when you struggled badly or lost him to a big club after his better years. You would have ended up like other bumfuck clubs like Leeds or Sheff Wed. We've had a period of dealing with the most shambolic owners in the clubs history so really Moyes should have taken your club miles in front of LFC during that turmoil. Yet it's still LFC who keep putting silverware in the cabinet <ok>

The simple fact is Kenwright is still there because he can't find a buyer. Ask yourselves why that is. No doubt you will see it as LFCs fault or Gerrards fault or Kenwrights fault but it isn't. You have little global appeal, you have one of the most ramshackle stadiums in the top two leagues in England, your brand of football is seen as effective but unexciting and you don't win trophies.

“Just to clarify I’ve watched the game again, and I’ve seen some of Everton’s matches this season, and what I said in relation to their style of play went too far,” Gerrard told the ECHO.

“I was frustrated by the disallowed goal from Luis when I spoke and also some of the things that have been said about Luis in recent weeks which haven’t been fair in my opinion.

“As captain I have a duty to stand up for our players when I feel they are unfairly singled out.

“But it wasn’t my intention to disrespect Everton or Stoke for that matter and I certainly didn’t intend any disrespect to their manager or players.

“I have the utmost respect for David Moyes and Tony Pulis and the job they have done at their respective clubs.

“My main issue was with the goal that wasn’t given and that Liverpool did not get the three points I felt we deserved in what was a fantastic derby match.”

There we go, Stevie has calmed down about the linesman's dabbling in match fixing. He just lashed out on Everton like it was his old mangey dog.

I disagree that you play like stoke. Their main game is to foul constantly and disrupt the whole game, playing anti football. Everton don't do that, you do play a lot of long ball, but Fellaini was up top. So I agree with Gerrard to an extent, but think he didn't mean exactly what he said.
Its a bit of a nothing issue anyway.

Ok you two, well here is an interesting article on which teams hoof the ball the most in the league. I won't spoil the results for you, only that I hope you enjoy clicking:

Yep, here are the stats for those who are lazy.

Balls hoofed:

Swansea = 114
LIVERPOOL = 118
scum = 135
City = 137
Arsenal = 151
Sunderland = 153
Wigan = 154
chavs = 161
Tottenham = 184
QPR = 190
Fulham = 202
Norwich = 208
Stoke = 209
Newcastle = 213
Aston Villa = 224
West Brom = 240
Southampton = 252
bitters = 252
Reading = 255

So, sadly Gerrard was wrong, you don't play like Stoke at all..... you are far far worse. Don't worry though, you'll have that top spot soon.

Shame that Gerrard was referring to the derby though brains & the stats from the derby are clear, we played a lesser %age of long balls than you did, we passed the ball far more than you did & Phil Neville & Leon Osman out passed Joe Xavi Iniesta, lol.

His comments were ripped to shreds with facts by the press yesterday, hence the reason he's come out & admitted it was just bitter waffle as he had a titty lip on.

Stevie me was on about the Derby??? And as for that above what percentage of our total passes does the 252 represent? Afterall we outpassed the red scouse tikka takka Barcelona by a long way on the weekend as we have other teams this season...If we have and pass the ball more Inevitably you will hit more long balls aswell looking at It that way shows we are playing the better football aswell...As does the league table?

In fairness though I wouldnt expect LFC to hit many long balls even If you did have a large chunk of possesion during a game afterall you have no one to hit It to you loaned him to west ham looked In your pocked and realised you'd have to let Dempsey go to the Spuds <ok>

"Long ball" is too simplistic anyway. I watched arsenal play "long ball" last night? Why? Walcott putting a run on the back four from the centre.

Look at Spurs figure. Quite high for a team up near the top? Are they hoofers? No. They have very pacey players wide that a quick long diagonal ball in behind will benefit.

Derby game. When did we switch to long ball? That's right when we moved Sterling into the centre to put a run on the back four.

@TonyBarretTimes: "There's no such thing as the long ball or the short ball, only the right ball." Bob Paisley.

This is correct.

Why Stoke get stick is because there long ball comes from a physical, defensive, negative set up, every game.

So, the "long ball" coupled with high pressing and plenty of midfield follow up was impressive & effective in the first half from Everton.

It turned a little negative in the second half as we started using OUR long ball (positive) to pressure your back four with Sterlings pace.

Only thing to be depressed about my little blue friends is THIS current team is as good as it will get with this owner & this manager....it's good, don't get me wrong. It's just not good enough for the shiny stuff. While that rubbish team full of overpriced, over hyped English donkeys who had their worst league run in 70 years still got their hands on the shiny stuff.

Life is indeed cruel sometimes.

20. It must really irritate you that no matter how hard you try, that fragrance still weeps through...BITTER!

I'd have thought you guys wouldn't be as bad with us not being as good as we were, maybe it is because you realised that we are in transition and have a hand full of quality youngsters. Basically, we are a potential (note the word potential) sleeping giant, something Everton will never be. Over the last three seasons we have had a worst period in years yet you guys are only just in front of us <ok>
