Your lucky In that the last few sets of owners you've had have spend a bucket load of money on your club though... The luck ran out when they spent It all on ordinary players like Carroll etc And we all know why your best player was suspended for 1/4 of the season... you were still pap in the league for the remaining 3/4 season though whats your excuse for that????
Sorry I should rephrase that. We didn't have the opportunity to spend any where near £80m that you wasted on useless English 'talent'?
no you didn't I agree, instead you bought decent players but you won fook all with them. why is that?
Not as much as you'd like to believe. To say that money doesn’t buy success is naïve, yet to believe that money is the sole ingredient in a recipe for success is equally so. Modern football is clearly in the grip of a financial revolution and, like it or not, it is becoming increasingly evident that club finances play a role in the success or failure of English clubs. To what extent, though, is this the case? Below is the Premier League net-spending chart for the last five years. The figure represents the total amount of money spent after player sales have been subtracted from the total. 1. Man City £382,150,000 2. Chelsea £190,700,000 3. Stoke City £60,075,000 4. Aston Villa £53,550,000 5. QPR £35,650,000 6. Man Utd £34,150,000 7. Liverpool £26,800,000 8. Fulham £23,600,000 9. West Brom £15,915,000 10. Sunderland £11,850,000 11. West Ham £8,100,000 12. Norwich £6,950,000 13. Swansea £6,570,000 14. Tottenham £5,590,000 15. Wigan -£2,750,000 16. Southampton -£3,150,000 17. Everton -£10,815,000 18. Reading -£21,250,000 19. Arsenal -£21,280,000 20. Newcastle -£43,400,000
oh right so you would have won the league cup last season if you hadgotten your new signings earlier, remind me how did those new signings help you get on in the league cup this season?
That's very revealing, well done for posting something interesting for a change. Is it accurate , or did you just make something up again ? A remarkable job been done at Newcastle, by both Hughton and Pardew, and the bloke who negotiated with your lot over Carroll of course " How much do you want for Carroll " " 8 mill " " We'll give you 15 " " I only said 8 " " OK 20 " " But 8 will do, he's only worth that " " You drive a hard bargain, OK , 25 " " Listen, he's only really worth 8 to bounce things off, 8 " " You're robbing me blind, 30, final offer " " He'll never be worth more than 8 in a million years mate " "Right, you've got me over a barrell, last and final offer, 35 million quids ! " "Alright, alright, 35 million it is, just so you **** off. And I'll chuck in this free gourd " "How much for the gourd ?"
so its the chairmans fault that you didn't waste money on useless British talent as if you had of done this then you would have won the league cup???????????
That is exactly right. A guy whose job it is to do all that Opta stat stuff was explaining it all to us all earlier on Twitter. He said in terms of hoofball these types of stats are very misleading because of the way they are defined and measured. he explained it a lot more thoroughly than that but I can't remember it all now sorry.
This proves my argument wrong and makes me look a bit of a dumb **** so I'm going to completely avoid your point and say you've made it up instead because thats what really effective arguers do don't they. Jesus, their all morons. Thats the best one; Why didn't you win a trophy last season? Because we didn't spend £80m on british ****e players. Nice one.
