Good for the short term, not sure about the long term or the style of football but I will get behind him and hope he can shake our players up a bit or ship them out.
well there are rumours that aidy hoofroyd has been interviewed, so suddenly you might find curbishley looking like a messiah!!
According to Stan James, MM is still the heavy favourite 1/6, but Holloway is 9/4 and the nearest after that is 14s.
I must confess that I have got £100 on Mick McCarthy at 20/1 when I placed the bet a few months ago Definately a WIN WIN...
I have to say I'm not overly thrilled about this, I don't find the guy particularly interesting, he sounds a bit of an old fashioned simpleton and not a big fan on his style of football although it's not terrible. But to be fair we could do alot worse and if he is to get appointed it's certainly not anywhere near in the same bracket as the Keane appointment for me, I mean McCarthy is actually a decent manager but I just feel he wouldn't suit Ipswich. I could see him getting us out of our current predicament but beyond this I'm not entirely sure. What also concerns me as Supers said was how Wolves last year resemble ourselves atm, they just lacked any sort of resiliance which you would expect MM teams to have.
At least MM won't accept the players giving less than 100%. I believe that most posters on here would agree that certain players have not been putting in a full 90 minute shift in games this season. I think he would be able to weed these players out - even if they're sent out on loan to wake them up. He also knows how to set a team up to defend from the front. I (& others) have been critical of the back 4 this season but the players in front of them also need to accept their share of responsibilty
