    Football news from France.

The mega-wealthy French club Paris Saint-Germain might have no spending limits when buying players but it seems their budgets are a little tighter when it comes to paying interns.

The big spending club was accused of being stingy on Wednesday for offering a six-month, post-university internship in the PR department at a monthly salary of only 436 euros.

This is from a club which, since being bought out by billionaire Qatari investors in 2011, has splashed out over €200 million on players, including €23 million on star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic in July.

PSG drew stern criticism from several French politicians when it emerged they were paying the Sweden international an eye-watering annual salary of around €14 million – which works out to around 2675 times as much as the intern, whose job it will be to promote him and the club.

Although low-paid internships are common in France, even at multi-national companies, the stark contrast between PSG’s investment in players and their interns has angered some.

France’s minimum wage is set around 1,425 euros a month, or 9.4 euros per hour

Will there be a Chelsean game that doesn't have an issue of racism brought up after it?

One club is putting the game through some very thick mud ATM!

I would like to see people do the same to him as they did to the thug who hit Kirkland. Publicly name and shame him and have him locked up and banned. It is a minority of people who think it is ok to be racist, so let the majority band together and kick them out!

Needs to be brought up, it must be addressed. Does look like it is just a one club crucade though.

I am surprised Blackburn or Bolton didn't go for Big mick with his experience as their appointments could be a risk.

Michael Appleton has left Pompey for Blackpool. I don't know just how good or bad a manager he will be, but he never had a chance to prove anything down on the south coast. Forced to sell the entire team last summer, then only allowed to sign players on a monthly contract. There are managers who do a runner just to get more money, but although he will probably get that, he has done his best in impossible circumstances.

This is one job vacancy that I don't see queues of out of work managers trying to get.

    Well done to Celtic!

Bold move from both parties with regard to Appleton.

Bit of an unknown and he will clearly have more pressure/expectations on himself but then that's what managers will always have.

At the fans forum it was stated that WFC would publish the accounts this month and we would be able to see just how much debt Bassini had left behind. Whatever they show I doubt that they will be as bad as this.

See the Hibs matchday announcer has been sacked for playing "Taxman" by the Beatles as a dig at Hearts. Anyone think that if the positions were reversed, the Hearts announcer might've done the same?
