Have you got a photo of when VanNistelroy hit Ljunberg during the last game of the 2001-02 season ? It was shown quite clearly on TV but nothing was ever done about it

Nope. Nor do I have a photo of Steven Gerrard elbowing Danny Welbeck and Michael Brown and getting away with it, Rooney doing the same on McCarthy, Darren Fletcher getting sent off after cleanly tackling Fabregas in the 2009 CL, Koscielny fouling Taylor-Fletcher but no penalty given, or any number of other bad decisions referees have made over the past however many seasons you want to count.

I could probably find a picture of Keown elbowing Van Nistelrooy in the head and not getting sent off for it if I tried hard enough, but I think I've made my point. Referees make bad decisions. They affect all teams, probably not equally, but not in any sort of systematic way.

Swarbs you have made no point at all. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but your club is in bed with the F.A and every single fan from clubs across the country can see it. No I'm not bitter. I just want a level playing field. No I don't even hate united. I just want refs to not be so influenced by the power axe fergie wields if refs don't give him what he wants. Until I see that I have no respect for united or their modern day success.

Nothing was ever done about this Boswinga assault even though it happened right beside the linesman and the lad admitted it!! I don't recall the conspiracy theories happening over this.

Ah, I see. Thanks for enlightening me.

Just one thing, if all our modern day success is the result of such a massive web of corruption, why has it never appeared in the mainstream media? And never been investigated by the police, the government, or any other independent authority. Or are we in bed with them too! My god, it's a conspiracy!

Ooop, sorry Piskie, no it's not a conspiracy. Not at all. No way <ok>

Btw Bergkamps, why would I think you are bitter? Just one question, were you railing against corruption in such a massive way when the refs were helping you go an entire season unbeaten? Not at all bitter then...

True I actually thought watching it that the touch came off whoever the QPR defender was lying on the ground. It could have conceivably been given offside though, no use trying to say otherwise....

And we all know how the unbeaten run came to an end. A combination of a Rooney dive and a penalty at OT. Haha you couldn't make it up. Not bitter mate just not fooled that's all.

Poor united fans actually look to the mainstream media as the bearers of truth. Yeah how come sky sports or the sun have not uncovered such a conspiracy? Lol that's some funny ****!

The same mainstream media that are openly biased towards them and tried to even buy their shares. It beggars belief <laugh>

I like how you wrote this in the way a very old Chinese Master would say it.
For everyone who doesn't speak Chinese Master, what I think he's trying to say is: "If you only look through one eye, you only see half the picture." While not true, as the vision of each eye overlaps, so closing one doesn't reduce vision by 50%, I appreciate the sentiment.

Surely, if it were a conspiracy, they wouldn't give ALL the decisions in favour of United, just the important ones. In my opinion, there isn't an industry-wide conspiracy all lining up to award the League to Man Utd. The Refs are influenced by players surrounding them, the crowd, the knowledge that Fergie will lambast them if United don't win and they got it wrong, or even right but marginal. The fear of being wrong leads them to favour United, because United are EXPECTED to win, and therefore if they do, no-one really questions it. That's why the Top4 teams get decisions in their favour, and why United get more than anyone else. It's essentially the Refs living up to expectations. Exactly the same as with Scholes. He should have been sent off LOADS of times, but he wasn't. He was booked, the Ref shows he's done something, but never sends him off, because he bottles it.

I don't think that there's any conspiracy behind this, just Ferguson manipulating things by his public reactions to things.
The way that the ref's association acts has been a bit off though, on occasion.

Ferguson basically blows up at the ref whenever Man Utd lose, especially if they haven't had the rub of the green with regards to decisions.
Anyone that he publicly criticises then seems to go out of rotation for Utd games.

There's also the relegation issue, which looks really dodgy.
Foy took charge of the Spurs win at Old Trafford recently, for example. He spent the next weekend in the 4th tier, reffing Accrington Stanley v Rochdale, a level that he's not visited for 4 years.
Even if there's nothing behind that decision, it doesn't look good, does it?

So you believe refs have favoured Scholes and Utd over the years as he hasn't been sent off enough? So like you have watched every match Paul Scholes has ever played and saw and analysed every single challenge he has put in? Wise up.

    *Yawn*
The typical, and eminently predictable over-the-top reaction. I am absolutely convinced that if other players had made the exact same challenges that Scholes has, over the time period that Scholes has made them, then they would have seen far, far more than 4 Red Cards in the PL.

Are you telling me that you haven't seen many, many occassions where Scholes committed a challenge worth of a Yellow, and got away with it simply because he's Paul Scholes?

I have seen loads of players over the years commit terrible fouls and sometimes not even get booked. Some in Utd shirts and others playing for rivals. It happens and its called football. Check out the Bosingwa kick against Liverpool which happened right under the linemans nose. He waves his flag and yet the ref does nothing as does the FA. Crap decisions happen. Oh and guess what, Bosingwa wasn't playing for Utd.

Change the record lad. Its boring.

In a game which Arsenal were dominating up until that point and another poor ref decision led to United still having 11 men on the field <ok>
