I'm bit bored, been studying all day long --------------Cesar------------ Bos------Hill-----Nelsen--Traore -------------Mbia-------------- -------Diakite-----Granero----- Hoilett------------------Taarabt ---------Cisse/Zamora--------- It's sure we can't defend our penalty box and this way Mbia could move in the box and be the 3rd CB if needed, and we would surely have more iron in the midfield and Diakite and Granero would have more freedom knowing that's there's an anchor man sitting behind them when they drift into attack. Surely would putt the pressure of their back. I know Hughes will not field this formation but this is closest for me being a manager. Anybody have their formation they're reluctant to suggest? I won't judge
For the umpteenth time, this squad is crying out for... Cesar Bosingwa Mbia Nelsen Traore ....Diakite........Faurlin Hoilett....Granero....Taarabt .........Zamora........ However, after backing Zamora on here quite a lot I'm slowly losing patience and given Cisse's absolute ineptitude I'd not be averse to giving Mackie a go.
I totally agree, but it seems that Hughes doesn't know how to play away matches and he let Granero and Diakite sit in front our CB "on their own" and Hoilett and Zamora taking a stroll down the center. This way we surely would be stronger in the midfield defensively. It would be better as we do a little of attack anyway so why not at least make our defense stronger. This would be good formation of Man Utd away IMO.
Watford. I'm getting fed up agreeing with you. Hope you are going to the saints game. Would love to meet up and discuss beer.
Assuming I don't top myself or get eaten by locals at the Britannia my bastard season ticket and lack of hobbies ensures I'll be there.
Would definitely have Mackie instead of Zamora but would play him on the right. Just thinking that Hoilett and Taarabt could be the tandem center forward/ left sided player with alot of movement from both. I know Taarabt is no traditional center forward but the way he took his goal against WBA suggests he could play there and with good interaction with Hoilett opp defences would be far more scared than currently facing Zamora or Cisse. Just think Mackie up front for all his endeavour is somewaht one dimensional.
I wouldn't wish for too much as Hughes seems to be settling on a regular starting lineup. We could do with some stability. Lets see how things go from now on.
