Now that we have lodged an official complaint against Clattenberk, I just wonder how we will fare at the referees hands in our future matches. The members of his organisation will, no doubt, be supporting him during this exercise and may develope as a result of this some sort of bias against us! Am I becoming neurotic or coiuld this be the case?
Nothing is too far fetched when it comes to the FA and their refs, they make up rules on the fly and do what the **** they want (obviously within Fergie's restrictive guidelines that he issues them with).
What happens if they prove him innocent will Chelsea then be charged with bringing the game into disrepute and docked points? All this does not do a lot for the respect campaign for youngsters playing on a Sunday morning
all the evidence is in the hands of the match officials no body else. does any body really think that the fa are going to let them drop clatterkunt in it?
Time the football refs were wired and transmitted like rugby refs may the fact that they and the players could be heard would shut them all up
As a neutral, I honestly can not see why two Chelsea player's would complain IF they we're NOT spoken to in the wrong way by Clatterbug.. As a Stoke fan we have loads of previous with the numpty so I hope " Probably in vain though" the the FA (if he's found guilty" nail his sorry ass to the wall. What's anoying is Jeff Winter tonight saying " He's one of the top ref's in the country"
You say that as if its impossible for Chelsea players to lie. Thats simply not the case and considering the events of the game its not exactly unlikely. Of course they may well be telling the truth and Clattenburg could of abused them ( he almost certainly didnt on the pitch anyway, he told Mikel to shut up and gestured a shush sign at him in the 76th minute ) but its just as likely Chelsea are lying. As of now nobody knows and nothing is surprising in football.
Players do lie, like the racist Evra who falsely accused the Chelsea groundsman of racially abusing him. Just another toerag using the race card like 'choc ice' Rio.
You mean as opposed to accidentally making it up? If this allegation is not found proved then expect a huge penalty - if it is true then it will cost Clattenburg his job, if it is false it should cost Chelsea a place in the league.
If Pottermouth this is the case , then heaven help us all! I dont generally have a downer on refs. They are human and sometimes they make mistakes and historically they have been made for us and against us.Therefore I can live with a ref's mistake if it goes against us! What I have a problem with is a ref who is well rewarded and decides after all the controversy that surrounded his performance yesterday to shut up shop and not say a dicky bird about what decisions he made and why he made them in one of the biggest reffing controversies in modern times!
United in Red Given the (recent history old hat I know) but seen the Terry case etc end as it did. Do you honestly think that not one, but two Chelsea player's would lie to the FA about this? They may have, they may not have I don't know. IF they HAVE lied then Chelsea FC are fooked and the 2 player's who complained should be shot at dawn. It just does not make sense and I KNOW what happened during the game... so I don't see why the (end result) a Utd win is brought into this. Chelsea FC correct me if I am wrong have (complained to the FA about what Clattenburng is allegedly said) NOT the result. Sorry for the long response and as someone below has said... People are being feckin murdered, raped, half the world is starving and my Grandson can not sing Ba Ba BLACK sheep at Primary School. BUT, we can all go to our local B and Q and by Brilliant WHITE gloss. (headbang) If it's just swearing so what, if it's racial and proven he ( Clattenburg) is fooked. Either way it's a sad state of affairs.
We should fare OK in the coming days/weeks at the hands of refs as they will all be keen to avoid this sort of reaction happening again so soon after this weekends show. We know that refereeing decisions will be at the forefront of everyone's minds coming into this game on Wednesday.
Given the gravity of the situation I don't think 2 players would make up a pack of lies - as for the idiot on here who wants us chucked out of the league the club is merely passing on a complaint made by its players. Like I said previously I think its a waste of time as the only people likely to have to heard the comments were Clattenberk's assistants and I don't for a minute expect them to shop him.
Even if the complaint is not upheld why should Chelsea expect a penalty? It's not a crime to complain.
I think they are lying completely. Its not the first time they have done this. Lied about a ref abusing them. 2006 they did it to Poll. So yeh, Chelsea are no strangers to lying in order to tarnish a referees career.
