Is it Mata that he called a Spanish twat, then? I assumed that he'd gone along with most of Stamford Bridge and said it to Torres. I can't stand Clattenburg, but I also can't see why he'd have insulted Mikel like that. Time will tell, I guess, but it seems a bit bizarre.
He called him Jon Obi Mikel, when everyone knows it's Mikel John Obi. Or Mikel Obi John. Or John Mikel Obi. Or a poor replacement for Michael Essien...
Wow only a Man Utd fan could see it all like that. You got the rub of the green yesterday, just accept it and enjoy your victory instead of trying to pretend you didn't get lucky.
The Mail is starting to run stories of how Wenger and Steve Bould are at loggerheads about everything at Arsenal. In other words, they replaced the words Spurs, Villas-Boas and Freund from articles they were running six weeks ago with the words Arsenal, Wenger and Bould.
Scary delusion. You were totally outplayed by us throughout, something which even G.Neville (who sat amongst the United fans in the corresponding fixture last season) freely admitted along with saying the referee ruined the game. You are no better than Spurs or Chelsea and certainly aren't better than City. Even 10 v 11 you would not have won that match. It took a goal which was 2 (almost 3) yards offside to kill us off with 9 men. Chelsea started slowly and defended awfully but the minimum we deserved was a point. De Gea, Clattenburg and The other corrupt officials are the only reason that didn't happen.
Lukey, you were lucky! Apart from the first 20 minutes, or so, you were outplayed. The only reason I'll come down on your side a little bit, is I think Torres should have gone for the first offence. Maybe Clangerberg had that in mind when he sent him off. But, there WAS contact - unless you're a Utd fan, you can see it clearly. Sure, Torres went down easily, but so would many others in the circumstances.
Luke it speaks volumes that fans of Spurs, Liverpool and Arsenal all agree you were lucky and outplayed with major decisions going your way. It's the topic of discussion on nearly every PL board including that of QPR, Sunderland, Norwich, Newcastle, Swansea etc. These people can't ALL be wrong.
There's a big difference though. Most Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea fans that are rational would admit to getting favourable decisions. Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have to compete with that. How can you compete with a side with outrageous advantages? It doesn't make it right but at least at the bottom and middle of the table the playing field is level.
Not 2-3 yards or was it the earlier bit that you were talking about? please log in to view this image It was a close decision but one that I agree he should have got it right but these things happen and I remember Ivanovic getting one against Wigan last year that was a much, much worse decision. It's difficult to stomach some of Clattenburg's decisions though.
I think that the major thing that's been ignored is that it's Clattenburg and United again. Pedro Mendes' ghost goal, Nani's handball goal, Wayne Rooney's elbow against Wigan and now he's making waves in another one of their games.
You are right but the fact we had a tw... no sorry three man disadvantage only compounded the misery. Thankfully justice was done and Wigan stayed up on merit. The same can't be said for United who will benefit from these kind of "decisions" every week.
