Is that the name of one of your nippers? Unusual name. What is the origin?

I was slim with longish hair in my teens, but never had a tache. Part of my problem is the arthritis in both my knees - sport injuries. I can't run anymore and haven't been able to for a good while. I used to love walking in the countryside, but can't even do that anymore.

I was very good at cricket (county standard), decent at rugby (club first team - wing <yikes>) and average at footie (good 5-a-side goalie).

The other part of the problem is my love of Carling <laugh>

I have to say I wasn't expecting you to be tall and thin given the content of your diet and the level of booze put away.. I was expecting however a crazy mop of white hair ala doc from back to the future <ok>

    Yeah, Osian.

    Pronounced Osh an.

I took some convincing myself but love it now. He's Osh. Or Oshy.

No, in other words, pronounced Osh an. Say the two seperately one after another.

Think of it as Osh Anne.

****ing hell, I had this with my parents and I was saying it to them face to face. Them calling him ocean did not go down well here!

The Irish derivative (same spelling) is pronounced Oh Sheen.

Yes, the Celts are indeed ****ing wierd ****ers but the name grows on you, especially as the boy suits it to a tee.

No matter how hard I try, Osh Anne is just how scousers pronounce ocean.

Sorry mate, you've given your kid a scouse name. Social services are on the way...

Scousers would pronounce ocean Oh Shan. Not Osh Anne.

You're doing it wrong, definitely. No need for the social services.

My mate's kids got the same name - nothing wrong with it in my opinion but those gaelic names are a pain in the neck to pronounce and to spell. Poor lad's going to have 7 brithday cards all with different spellings!
