Wow some big names in there, you could exclude Hull City, hardly set the world alight. Mind you they did achieve what we have struggled to do.
Fancy us to beat mighty Bolton away with a new manager and in front of the Sky camera's...not sure.
Good chance to take something from Charlton....Eddie Firmani's boys.
Hull, could win that one by a couple.
Middlesbrough in good form, might be a rare draw!

I would be happy with a minimum of 2 wins and 2 draws from that lot (8 points) or even 3 wins and a defeat. That would far exceed what we usually get in November and with only half the month gone.

But with the players we have and if Malky makes the opponents worry about us when we are away from home rather than us worry about them then we could smash my minimum expectation out the window.

Word of caution though, Hudson is on 4 yellows, one more and he will be suspended for a game. Were we to pick up a defensive injury or, heaven forbid a red card for a defender, that will leave us light at the back with only McNuggs and Nugent to come in.

bolton have a new manager and could see a small rise in performance, charlton have won 2 in 10 so not in great form, i remember hull did us on the counter on the same fixture last season, 3-0, the worst performance we had last season, but this time round we'll have too much firepower for them......<ok>

Add Barnsley and Derby away to complete the fixtures for November. Our bogey month with 4 of the 6 away. We need to improve our away form for us to still be top at the end of the month.

We are good enough to win each of the games and we have a big enough squad to win all the games. Right now I'd settle for winning 4 of the 6.

3 wins and 2 draws is a realistic outcome which would give us another 11 points and keep us on track for 2 points a game given we're in credit at the moment.

Fingers crossed that MM surprises us with his away formation, starting Saturday.

not at all to both points.

We've already lost 3 games this season so not world beaters, but there is cautious optomism while knowing things could go wrong. We are however, in a much stronger position as far as the squad goes than most people can remember.

So, as I said, realistically 3 wins and two draws from 6 games. As I also said, for individual games there isn't a team we play in November that we couldn't beat.

I'm sure you're all happy with the way your season is going, but you should avoid comments like 'Hull, could win that one by a couple', as you could easily lose it by a couple too, we didn't get up to six in the league by being ****.

Our home form is solid 21pts from 7, Hull will be a test they are always there or there about at the end of the season.

I'm going for a home win.

It would be a boring world if people couldn't express their opinion. You are right that we could lose by a couple. It doesn't make Red's comment wrong. We could.

For me, Hull and Middlesbrough are likely to be the hardest games for us during November and our winning streak at home has to run out at some point.

And as for you getting to be 6th by not being ****, we're top and have been **** a couple times. We've conceded 15 goals this season, 10 of them in our 3 away defeats. The thing for you to look at though is that we've only conceded 4 in 7 home games. Big oportunity to make a name for yourselves there.

    All true.

We have actually been **** a couple of times, we were outplayed by Leicester and Brucey picked a shocker of a team against Boro, but outside of that we've outplayed everyone so far. If our strikers weren't spurning so many chances, so could be right up there, losing Matty Fryatt for the season without him playing a single game has been a big blow.

Still, should be a good game, we might have a couple of loans in by then, we've already lost two players for the season and another two until Christmas, so we're looking a bit light.

That's where we're fortunate at the moment lambretta. We've lost Nicky Maynard for the season and have been without Bellamy, Tommy Smith and Jordon Mutch for a few games, but we've brought in the likes of Noone, Mason and KimBo with others in reserve. We've typically had a tough November and fallen away in Feb and March due to squad size over the past 4-5 seasons. Our optomism comes from the strength of our bench and beyond. We've commented on other threads that Bellamy, Smith and Mutch will have to go some to get back in the team.

I'm sure Sayi will get a warm reception and we won't be taking you lightly.

Whatever players are available and chosen for the Hull and Boro games they will both be tough (for us and them) hence my view that we will drop points in some games in November. After all that is football, win some lose some and draw some too, and we at Cardiff have had our nuts well and truly clobbered enough times in recent seasons not to be over optimistic.

However, we are top of the league looking down and have our best group of players probably since 1970/71. We must take each game at a time and if we can get the magic 20 points per 10 games with 6 bonus games for more points on top then we should be there or there abouts come April/May.

I think that is optimism but not over optimism.

Fug me..just as we'll I didn't mention Leeds United! What is it.... does every other team read our message board, as it seems dead quiet on most?
Apologies sir, no offence, but we have been well used to losing in the past, so I am enjoying at the mo. Have a good Christmas!

I think 8 points from the next 4 would be an excellent return, i have a good feeling about Bolton away, Charlton draw, Hull win, Boro draw.

One should never mention Leeds United...

We've got the busiest board on here, so you'll often find a few of us browsing.

I'm particularly popular on the Leicester board. <whistle>

    Merry Christmas to you too.

With the inconsistency shown by all teams (home & away) this season it makes it a nightmare to predict a string of games. Our away form isn't brilliant so Bolton isn't going to be a walkover but we should be able to beat them if we perform to our best.
Charlton should be a win, wary of Hull but Boro is a 3 pointer in my opinion. I think a full sweep is achievable if we play to our potential but would be happy with 10 points anything less will be poor.

I think 9 points from the next four games. We seem to have set a pattern of lose 1 win 3 this season. That would be a good return.

Yes fair enough our win streak does have to end sometime like any winning streak but Real Madrid held on to a home unbeaten streak for 3 years who says we can't do that eh?

    I'd happily take 9points now

I do think we're going to put in a performance away from home soon though. Even when we've won away this year we've been pretty ****.
Could be the Bolton game when it clicks, could be another Forrest/BC debacle.
I'm sure one of Hull or Boro will at least get a draw from us.

It would be boring if we all knew what was going to happen.
