it is eating me up as he's one of the main problems with our team. Playing him is like playing ten men. He is ruining our side and O'Neill seems to love him...worrying indeed

In my opinion he was by no means the weakest link against Stoke, and at least put himself about..
Having said that, we desperately need a central midfielder who will score goals, and none of our currant players look like scoring at the moment.

Cattermole and Colback cannot play together, i remember Cana and cattermole in the middle and it never worked, Colback works hard but should be given a bit more freedom, and go on a run, and the next two games are ideal, and for MON to experiment. Try 5 in the middle against the Boro, with Gardner, Johnson on the right, sess, Cattermole in the middle Mclean on the left. Whickham and Fletcher up front, Saha and maybe Ji as subs.

true enough but i still think he's our major weak cog in our formation. His style of play does not suit O'Neill but O'Neill continually plays him.......makes no sense to me

Never been in the Colback is a ginga Jesus brigade, and even less so when he and Catts are in the midfield together, he's a hard working player but for me, that's it, and the longer it goes on being just that, i find myself starting to side with newtonlee2.

I think he makes a canny left back, maybe his best position.

Personally Comm, I'd shift Danny up to RW.

Been saying it for a while now, the lad has pace & can ping in a fine cross & he's ten times the player McClean is.

We need to get a bid in now. Levey's not known for his generosity & the better Danny plays this season, the more Levey will up the price.

Jack is not the weakest cog, that's a bit unfair. If Mc, Sess and AJ pulled their fingers out and started working harder it would help. they're just as weak (a cog) as little the ginga. he's being asked to play in a position he's not that comfortable/confident in.

I agree with Billy in that LB is his best position - he makes a damn fine left back who can tackle, track and pass....allowing Rose to compete with McLean on the LW.

Isn't Colback a geordie bastard too? I say stone him to death for having the temerity to wear the Sunderland top.

I thought Colback didn't look bad against us last week and it was your attacking third where you were carrying dead weight in the team tbh.

Colback is a decent player, but like a few others at present is suffering from a dip in form.
