Where in my posts have I said he needs shipping out?

Where have I laid the blame at the feet of Ruiz?

He was poor last season… are you saying he gad a good season? Yes he was injured and yes he did have some good games or good spells in games but overall he was poor I don’t think there is anyone who would say he didn’t have a poor season …

Where did I say I this was the only good 30 min he had put in for us?

Yesterday I said he was a star for us… because he was and I said I hope he puts in more appearances like that. He has shown his potential in the past and I’ve said as much in previous posts. Last season (overall) he was very poor though.

I said “I hope he come good and proves me wrong…” and you accuse me of continuing to write him off????? WTF

Admittedly I lost interest sifting through tons of posts but this was the one that came to mind. Sounds like a pretty comprehensive write-off, no? Even though I didn't specifically accuse you of laying all blame at his feet (or at least I didn't intend to), he was singled out for criticism by you in the Man City game when others played as bad or worse.

I'd say he had a pretty indifferent season. Started off very badly, looked completely off the pace and dumbstruck, but then slowly improved massively and looked a real asset before getting injured for the last month or two of the season. So if I'd let his first few performances colour my opinion of him, then yes, I would say he had a bad season. If you take everything into account, it levels out at middling or just below.

If indeed you didn't mean he has only given us 30mins of good performance, you put it forward in a very misleading way. You can see where I'd go wrong.

You have written him off despite good performances, I don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility to believe that you'll do so again.

To be honest matey, this is all very circular and it's beginning to descend into pedantry and childishness (caused by my daft drunken posting!). I've kept my mouth shut previously but I do find it irritating that Ruiz gets a lot of stick where it isn't deserved, especially where other players have done worse than him - Petric in the game against Villa is a prime example, if Ruiz had played like that the shops around the Cottage would've made a killing on pitchforks and torches.

I'll add that I appreciate that you gave Ruiz credit yesterday when it was (highly) deserved, so you're not all bad :)

I think we may have to agree to disagree on this….

I still don’t think I’ve been over critical on Ruiz but that’s my opinion and your entitled to your opinion… If we all agreed on everything it would be boring.

How was your night out? I was out Friday for my Halloween night. Went dressed as John Marston from Red Dead Redemption, was awesome! Kept getting hit on my one of my friend's mates (don't worry, it was a girl) who was supposed to be the Wicked Witch from Wizard of Oz but made a more convincing She-Hulk. Didn't see any banana's though. But did see a giant gingerbread man.

Haha, sounds like you had a stormer! Love RDR. I'm usually against dressing up as something non-scary on Halloween but I had two banana costumes, so me and my mate had to buy matching pyjamas and go as Bananas in Pyjamas. We won a bottle of champagne! I saw a guy dressed as a zombie rabbit who ended up looking scarily like Crackfox.

I read that as 'Went dressed as John Motson' at first. Really.
