I think this is the key word ... guaranteed. I don't think anything would be guaranteed. If it was, then great, but is simply isn't guaranteed. My belief right now is that it is crazy considering getting rid of our current manager because he is trying to deliver a plan that has been bought into by the owners, the chairman, the players and the fans. Right now, for the first time in two years, the current manager is having a tough time. In a typically football fans manner, some people are calling for him to go. All I am trying to say is that right now and throughout November and December every single Saints fans should be getting behind this team, these players , this chairman and this manager. The thought of bringing in someone now is madness. They'd have the same group of players and they wouldn't really know them in terms of personality and ability; it would be starting again.

My view is that Nigel has all the right attributes to be a top, top manager. All that is happening is that he is having a tough time with competing with these players against some of these Premier League teams. I've seen enough in the games to see that we need to improve our defence, but also that we can cause any team in this league a problem and consequently win games. It's not going to be easy, but I still believe that Adkins can turn this round.

Offer me a guaranteed lottery win, then of course I'll buy a ticket. I just don't believe it's a guarantee.
