We would in effect be starting again , we thought we would come straight back last time and we spent a lot trying to do it .
It rather depends on what happens in January, if we import a few class signings there would have to be some exits, I wouldn't like to be the one to choose.
Aslong as we stay in the relegation battle in jan I can't see us getting relegated. I have full confidence in Nigel what ever the result@!
These players have contracts...Saints would have to let some go, but would keep the core of the team. Lambert would stay because he is perfect for the Championship and isn't young enough for an unrefusable offer. Ramirez would be sold to recoup money. Lallana may prefer to move on for his career's sake. If we get relegated, very few of our players would tempt PL teams with the exception of the newly promoted sides.
The world is going to end on 21st December, so it's all irrelevant anyway. At least gomarchingin will be happy then!
Ramirez is the only player I think would definately leave. The likes of Lambert, Lallana, JWP I am not convinced they would leave. JayRod, Clyne and Cork I am convinced would stay. We'd have a good squad and be pushing hard for promotion. Last time we came down, we had seasoned Premier League players who had spent a lot of time there and that is why most of these left. Once again, you are hypothesising and talking about ifs and maybes. Nothing is guaranteed.
You talk about relegation if you want. I really can't see the ****ing point of talking about anything but the next few games, all of which are winnable.

We aren't down and out yet. We got a quality strike force that can terrorise any defence in this league. We all know that we need to tighten up the defence, but a few quality signings in January could easily see us out of trouble.
