    That's very fair.

I read it as an angry post about the sending off that cost us and an attempt to establish patterns albeit crudely (no offence intended Igor).

Fact is, to me (and perhaps most on here), racism doesn't enter my conscious thoughts and it was only at Queens' request to re-read the OP that I could actually see his reasonable objection.

I'd actually take my ignorance/naivety as a blessing of sorts, a childlike innocence if you will (as alluded to by Brix).

Sadly, I'm guessing that Queens doesn't have that luxury due to idiots (hopefully consigned to his past).

Personally, I don't feel that there's any subversion here and I think the board is as broad minded as could be hoped for with a diversity and tolerance that would enhance society if it was uniform across populations.

I could still be missing the point but hope nobody thinks badly of me if I have (or for my general observations).

    Why?

I wasn't accusing anyone of anything, nor taking anything out of context ... I was adding some facts in to the debate

African players at QPR ? I see only men. My opinion is that on the surface certain players are trying too hard for the team. This team has shown in spells that it can contain the best teams in this league and in fact boss the game yet we have nothing to show for it . We are building and to pick out or to look for stupid reasons is pointless

    I warned of this lads
We are on a supercharged express train to try and cut it in this league and become a established club
That takes a lot of highs and a lot of lows and a **** loads of good and bad luck ... What is happening here is outstanding take ****ing stock.

We have the best squad ever in our history built by MH couldn't care what their skin colour is ... Get real some of you FFS

Not all Africans, its just a trait in their footballers and it goes back a long time, remember Canniga and Cameroon?!

The list above might have something to do with time spent in the league, I think the last game was Diakites 1st game without a card of any kind.

Perhaps he should have said our African players have a discipline problem which is true, Id say the same if we had 3 scousers always getting booked or sent off.

Very stupid statement from someone i thought had more..! Obviously wrong.!

What agenda is that mate, the one where everybody has to agree with you and your views on race. if you are not black please explain how you have any idea what it feels like? Spending 6 weeks on holiday is not a valid answer!

Normally Bob you make perfect sense, I just hope there are not your real beliefs on how we feel in regard to this subject.

Stunned how people cannot see the obvious racial slur in this OP or thread. And you lot gave swords sh**ye about Imaz !!?

As Brix says, its nothing to do with them being African or Black, the only thing you could point to is coming through the french system as that is true for all of Mbia, Diakite, Cisse, Taarabt, but even then I don't know if it makes them worse disciplined...although thinking about it...Cantona, Zidane...<whistle>

Brix was spot on with his post.
Really new this was gonna go this way.
i'd happily entertain a thread on racism as long as people didnt threaten to leave, become abusive or get the hump.
I HAVE NO PROBLEM BEING RACIST.... what ffends is when they dont know it or cant see it and defend thier beliefs..

Each to thier own i suppose !

Combination of a clumsily ( and obviously unintentionally worded OP ) and as The Pirate says "..it's just plain stupid to generalize" has led us astray here.
Did anyone read the Granero interview when he was talking about the need to be more than a technical player in the Prem? He made it clear that he understands the need to tackle hard, be seen to commit and give his all for the team here - and you can see it in his performances. Here's the problem - players trying to satisfy OUR demands who aren't used to the context and taking it too far ( M'bia aside, that was just idiocy). So it's our fault for our craving for bloodlust. Just see what we say about players not perceived to be giving their all - Zamora being accused of 'not being interested' and so on. No win situation - and by the way, I'd like to see how many of BZs critics have played CF against two half decent CBs - it's the most bruising position in the game and he does it week in, week out.

My mate was a victim of a black racist at the palace away match who wouldnt serve him food because he was white, it happens the other way around too. However Igor was just making an observation and I think you went over the top.

Fair enough mate. Each to thier own.

I grew up as one of 3 black people in high school in the 70's; so i know all about racists.
i taught people at my school how to draw a swastika. i read "Bulldog" the NF mag that was sold outside grounds.
I have many racist "friends" who arent racist against me (yeah-go figure?)...

the point I'm trying to make is that it takes a lot to insult me..I'm a black man in a country that only stopped slavery 30 years ago !!

I commented on Igors OP and said it would turn ugly in my first post.
i have no agenda, just was very shocked at the OP. i also knew people would defend the post and concept. thats why i asked for it to be closed.

For the record Bob. i dont in anyway consider you as a racist and i think Its all got mixed up in the interpretation.

Lets draw a line under it and move on eh?
No hard feeling, but certainly livene up the board a bit !!!

    keep the faith mate!

Flyer, sorry to hear about your mate, and I too know people who will not talk to me because i have a white misus and mixed race kids.
I despise these people even more for the sh**e they cause us.
I never said it didnt happen the other way round & I have lost some close friends over it.

I have PM'd Igor to say i understand what he was trying to say and hold no grudge against him. I'll await his reply

Personally dont think i was OTT but thats your opinion mate and you are entitled to it

If anyone else thinks i was OTT for being offended, then i appologise to you all. i was making a legitimate comment about something i believe in.

just because I appologise, doesnt mean i dont still hold my beliefs.

Peace and love to all the QPR family...keep the faith guys & girls !

I managing a shop when 2 foreign guys walked in and laughed. I had a black assistant who was seething after they left so I asked what was wrong. He said he spoke their language and they walked in and said "oh they let n*ggers work here now" in their own language and said he didnt want to cause trouble as hed only just started the job. I told him Id have physically removed them if hed told me when it happened so I know the effect it has on people when its really abusive.

Igors remark was innocent, I hope he doesnt think he cant post here, Im glad that you cleared it up with him and ive known you long enough that like you, youll always defend your corner.
