before one of our players gets a serious injury due to a shocking tackle. Referees are too leniant in this division.

Are other players in other teams in your division getting serious injuries?

i think you have a valid point Trev. teams will always try and kick lumps out of their opponents if they are a bigger team than them. unfortunately in the uk this sort of thing is rewarded. i have only seen the challenge on black from a few weeks ago, what happened yesterday?

Missed the game yesterday due to a whopper of a hangover but judging by our previous games I completely agree.

The wee teams will always try and rough up the top dog, that is expected. I understand that the refs want to see the flow of the game continuing but some tackles are brutal and could easily be straight reds in any other division.

Black was targeted again throughout the match. Don't know how bad the cut is but he left the field with a cut on his forehead from a high boot.

I agree that the wee teams can put it about a bit, but, good God, there is an phenomonal amount of irony about this article.

A boot to the head. No doubt went unpunished.

    Why?

I know black is a dirty player cossy. Difference is he was punished accordingly for his tackles

If the referees are terrible at this level I'm just wondering where the groups of walking wounded are. Is there a glue factory nearby?

Do you get to use 11 subs in Division 3 to account for all the terrible tackles dished out?

Or is it just paranoia setting in?

As with all of your televised games, it was a grade one ref.

I watched a good bit of the game yesterday - the boot to Black's head was a shocker but, if I was a Clyde player, I'd have been chucking it about anyway.

The first yellow for the red card was farcical - perfectly good challenge but the boot to Black's napper should've been a straight red.

It was still funny, though <ok>

the red card should have been a straight red anyway. Can't lift your hands to a player these days.

Didn't see the whole game but Alexander lifted his hand to the Clyde player that had the audacity to challenge him for a high ball.

I didn't think that was a red, either.

Did you see the "tackle" at Stirling that was only worthy of a yellow? <yikes>

I saw the gif on here <yikes>

It was honestly amongst the worst tackles I've ever seen.

If Black is getting this every week, you'd be right to think he's being targeted by other teams.

Like I said, the boot to the head, in my view, was deliberate - it wasn't just a standard high feet - it looked to me like the guy was aiming for him.

Black can certainly take care of himself, as can the likes of McCulloch. I've seen both put it about in various games and their assaults have gone unpunished, but the general view from Ra Berz was that, in particular, McCulloch elbowing someone in the face was just him being a solid player.
