Having to go out shortly I'm writing this before the Spurs game has finished but it's looking like another defeat so no doubt the vultures will be circling. Even if we have lost again IMO Nigel should be given more time. The results that will count at the end of the season aren't those against the top 6 and we've played them all bar Chelsea, but the other teams. OK we lost to Wigan and West Ham but were not outplayed in either game.

I still think Nigel is man enough to keep us up and we should back him with money in Jan to turn things around!

    So who is with me?

I am 100% with you. The second half performance has been great.

I truly believe with confidence, Mayuka and Gaston both starting, we will genuinely start picking up points. It was obvious in the first half how low our confidence was, but in the second half I would go so far as to say Spurs couldn't deal with us. Spurs. Who are pushing for the top 4.

Yes, we lost, but that was due to our slow, nervous start. If we play with anywhere near the confidence and conviction that we had in the second, we will definitely stay up.

Didn't get any points, but we must have gained some confidence, and I reckon Adkins might have learnt a couple of things. I hope Mayuka and Reeves start the next game, because they looked far better than Puncheon and Fox. Lallana must continue to play in the middle.

Perhaps , but maybe Spurs were poor , if we were poor in the first half can they not be in the 2nd ?

Yep after the 2nd half performance it is perfectly clear that Adkins is still the right man for the job.

With the things Adkins has learnt after every defeat he would be able to give Hawking a run for his money , all well and good learning this but putting them into practice is a another thing altogether .

Just don't dignify him with a response. That goes for everyone. It'll all kick off if we do.

What do you expect you utter prick. We were playing Spurs, we were always likely to lose. Our players fought for their lives and put an absolutely fantastic second half performance in.

You genuinely know so little about football it actually annoys me

Couldn't agree more, yes we were poor in the first half but those saying Nigel has lost the dressing room were soon shut up after we came out flying in the 2nd. Fed up of such fickle fans the moment we concede calling for Adkins head. Were these "fans" expecting 3 points from this game? People say Adkins is a victim of his own success but maybe some fans should think whether they would be so negative if we hadn't enjoyed what we have over the past 2 years.

Yes I want NA to stay and he will learn. I want us to play to our strengths and not to adapt to the other teams and if that means playing Mayuka and Reeves with 3 strikers up front I'm all for it. To prove there is competition in the squad!

He will be a victim of not buying enough quality players in the summer .

Least Adkins has learnt we can't play 4-4-2.

The guy got you promoted twice. He should be given this whole season, regardless of what happens. If he takes you down, then you're still in a better position than when he took over.
The Premier League is bloody hard. He's earned the right to make some mistakes and he'll walk into another job if you do get rid of him.

If we get relegated, so be it. We should keep Adkins and come right back up again. I've seen enough managers come in and out during my lifetime and I don't need to see any more. We need to stick with one for once.

And yes I agree with you that we look out of our depth, and need to improve. We could easily lose all of the upcoming fixtures.

I am just absolutely sick of your whining. You hijack every thread and make it terrible.

You have literally ruined this forum.

We will sell Lallana , JWP , Ramirez , Davis , Rodriguez and what would we replace them with ? They are premiership players so why should they stay now they have had a taste of it ? So I dont see how we would be stronger , a team of our size would not of languished in the 3rd tier for too long , the Championship ? Very difficult League to get out of so he has to be applauded for that , but Lambert has to be given credit as well for it .
