Very sad, but a brave couple. Hope they go on to have other children, although they will never forget their first.
Aren't we lovely? As someone who has been in a similar dark place, I salute Billy and my fellow Saints
I looked at the clock in the 11th minute and was glad to hear the clapping rise and become loud and clear, accompanied by Billy's chant. I've got myself one of his charity wristbands and pledged to donate an additional £10 if we went up, and £5 if he scored in the final game. What happened? We did both!! Great cause.
Billy ran the 10 miles in 1hr 11m 33s today. Also a couple of tweets of thanks to Saints fans for the applause: billy sharp ‏@billysharp10 Saints fans that was amazing I heard u all on bbc solent, driving back with my family.I will never forget that.thank you #saintsfc #ljs
It was the eleventh minute and we managed to get the Kingsland in my area involved, all too many were not aware of what it was all about but joined in anyway, well done those that did, I am sure Billy appreciated it.
Obviously the important thing is that Billy was shown the support he deserves, but I'm surprised how many people think that was the 11th minute!? When the clock reads 00:15 or whatever, that is the first minute. If someone scored at 23:45 the goal would go down as the 24th minute, and fans started clapping when the clock read 11:00, which is the 12th minute, I am 100% sure of this.
As far as I know the clapping was to commence when the clock showed 11 minutes past and that is precisely what happened, just pedantry would say it was the twelth minute but both are right statements. It was the action, not the time that mattered.
It started at about 10:59, and went well into the 12th. Who gives a ****ing **** though, it was quite a nice touch by our fans.
I was sat in Kingsland near the Chapel and I heard it from about 11.30-12, it probably started from 11 but took a while to spread to my end from the Northam.
