We certainly do. Have never believed in the type of manager who "rules with the rod of iron" or "Iron Sergeants" as they call them in Italy. Might work for Fergie but he's got money and reputation to carry it off but others just end up looking stupid.

We need a new manager a month ago.

I'm normally quite rational but I can't see things changing dramatically and therefore I am already resigned to our relegation

Nothing indicates to me on current form that we will stay up

I also think, like last season, the Dreaded Red might cost us too.

Mbia's sending off may cost 3 matches that are potentially winnable.

If we get to end of Nov with only a few points, I'm afraid Mbia takes the rap for me. More than MH.

Stupid, stupid man. I see why Marseille let him go. It was a like for like swap!!

It worries me more than anything that those normally with a calm head are now writing us off. difficult to be optimistic this morning. M'bia's sending off is a real nail in the coffin for me even this early in the season. We are back to square one in defence which is the heart of our problems.

It would be hard enough staying up with our terrible away record but our home record isn't good enough either

I said yesterday that too many people are banking on beating reading & soton but we need more results then that! Did I see yesterday someone posted that last season we had 15 points after 12 games

Can't see us getting half that amount this year

This seems hopelessly optimistic to me. Only 2 predicted losses in the next 9 games (if my maths is right!). Not sure what this certainty is based upon. We've seen some improvement in the last couple of games, but we possess so little attacking threat at times (which is most of the time) that it is difficult to see how we're gonna fire ourselves out of trouble.

Yesterday's game highlighted the problems of playing BZ as a lone striker: when he's not holding the ball up, the team are basically trapped in their own half, or slightly in the opposition's as he's completely devoid of any pace. Although he appears to have little conception of offside, the game was crying out for the introduction of Cisse, or even Mackie, through the middle far earlier.

I wanted to give Hughes a chance, and I must admit I believed him when he said we would not be in the same position as last season (gullible I know), but I'm totally demoralized and just can't understand his team selections and formation: why was Faurlin benched yesterday and SWP on the wing? I think many of us feel the same

I can see where you are coming from on the first two but we have undergone a revival since the second half against Liverpool. Our 4-1 away to Chelsea is put in pespective by Spuds 2-4.Four points from Arsenal and Villa have shored things up.If you want the third club look no further than AV.They were dire against us yesterday and only survived because we were not awarded a certain penalty and Herd stayed on the pitch after the tackle that he himself considered warranted asecond booking.
