Well Gooch was at the game and said to me earlier he wouldn't be able to post his thread so he told me to do it for him. Usual voting rules, those who watched the game on TV can vote on it to. Will put my vote up later guys
Quinn Aluko Elmo Quinn once again the best player on the park, Aluko was a good creative outlet once Koren came off. I'll say this though, we don't half fanny around with the ball in the defence. A nippier team will catch us in possession one of these days.
1: Quinn (First half in particular) 2: Aluko (Could just as well be first. Had a nice show on his wing) 3: Elmo
Elmo - even on one leg, the best crosser of a ball I can remember in a City shirt. Rosy - never going to go by someone playing on the wrong side, but showed what a good player he is and put in a great shift. Koren - faded in and out as always, but, Aluko excepting, a class above anyone else on the park. Was it just me or the shirts they were playing in, but weren't Bristol the tallest team ever? Problem for them is that they played just like a basketball team.
Watched it on Sky - overall very impressed & 3 or 4-1 wouldn't have flattered us. 1. Aluko - Sky commentator on the first goal likened the interplay with Simpson to Barcelona.. it really was absolutely sublime!! 2. Elmohamady - best City winger since Stu Elliot 3. Bruce - liking him more & more, Jnr got a couple of very important blocks and tackles in, he's more solid than Macca - hopefully Hobbs will learn the 3-5-2 as it suits our creativity.
First game I've been able to see this year. Quinn - What a buy he's been. Aluko - Class, great goal. Elmohamady - Signing him permanently has to be our #1 priority in January.
Quinn Aluko Rosenior Not sure why anyone voted Bruce over Chester, i think its because Chester never has to recover from mistakes as he never makes any. To be fair Bruce wa hindered by having Mcshane next to him who had a shocker. Anyway, Quinn's movement was exceptional as always. Aluko just has that quality, and towards the end of games when teams are tired he tears them apart. I also think Rosenior was brilliant on the wrong side.
me too, the perils of an ex-pat.. will be going to the Leicester game at the KC though when I'm over at X-mas..
I'm sorry, but Bruce has been solid. Today he had to defend his and McShane's positions and did it well.
Since he came to the club or today in general? As today he wasn't awful, just nowhere near in Chester's class even today. If you went to Leicester game, that game summed him up for me, nothing was in particularly his fault, he was just poor throughout with everything he did. Poor distribution, refusal to use his left foot, poor marking, dropping off his striker, and Nugent tore him ragged. In most games its the same story. I am not doing this because he's Bruce's son as i backed him at first. Its same with Macca, i love him as a character, but he's not good enough if we want automatic promotion. Neither of them are.
