Aluko's goal gave me a full-on, ribbed (for her pleasure), hard enough to cut glass, hip-breaking boner.
Rosie is a right back playing left wing back and I though he did okay, though he should have scored. The greedy twat was MotM. We won.
I would have had the same thing happen then it cut to Mcshane on the stream tp be fair if we keep creating all these chances people posting on this board could probably play centre-back and we would still win- great result 3 points away from home always a good weekend!
**** game, lucky to win, very lack lustre up top. Bristol were totally dire though so think its only fair we took all the points. Aluko as brilliant as he can be at times can be very frustrating, shoots when he should pass and passes when he should shoot. 3 points is 3 points though just a shame we couldn't rescue some goal difference, we certainly had the chances to.
Yeah, same old City having the chances and then it nearly coming back to bite us on the arse again... It's a good job Bristol are dire.
With the chances we had we should have scored more, but happy with the win regardless which takes us up to 6th place. Perfect response after Tuesday night and we have an inviting chance for 3 points against Barnsley next weekend, but with the likes of Wolves, Cardiff, Palace and Forest coming up we can't afford to pass up our chances when they come.
It's a fair point Super makes I think, we need to be more clinical in finishing off lesser teams, no disrespect to Bristol but they looked piss-poor. If Bruce can give us more of a cutting edge then the skys the limit.
not great but some positives. Rosy can play LWB or LB. Great challenge by AB and one by Chezz on the edge of the box. We won. Quinny is a joy to watch, same but infinitely more frustrating is Aluko. Negatives. Evans. I like Simmo but we need a Charlie Austin. Aluko shooting when he shoulda slid it to Elmo to knocka tap in for Simmo. We need a proper CM.
I wouldn't describe the first goal as 'lacklustre up front'. It was however the same old story of having a load of chances and not taking enough. Rosie can do a job as a left wing back, but if Dudge is out I'd like to get a pacy left back in on loan.
I'm not worried about Wolves, they'll be accidentally passing the ball to us throughout the game because of the similarity in home kits. Bruce should be teaching our lot to shout for the ball in a Brummie accent.
Watching live I was a little shocked by the number of shots that we missed. I know I was aware of it but actually seeing it was something different. That miss by Simpson towards the end was the highlight of missed shots for me.
Think that first goal is what did it, that was absolutely fantastic and thought it was a sign of things to come, sadly nothing even came close to it afterwards.
The worrying thing about this is that he has been vying with Chester for best defender this season. He misses the positioning, calmness and ability to pass forward that Chester has, but he is streets ahead in being able to tackle. He's the only defender who is willing to make that killer tackle.
Usually we'd be complaining about a 2-2 draw and a scrappy 90th minute equaliser. At least now we can only complain that we almost ****ed it up.
Sky were very impressed with us and Don Goodman comparing us at one point to Barcelona. They were even bigging us up for automatic promotion. Have they seem something we all missed? We weren't that bad, ok so we missed some chances, we still got three points and won at a ground we hadn't in the previous 47 years. Be positive, the league is still sorting itself out and gives everybody a better picture at Xmas.
