Whenever I have just a smidgeon of doubt in Nigel I watch that video and fall in love again. <smooch>

If I was a player I would love to have him as my manager.

His interview with Solent is quality too.

    He quotes Rocky Balboa too.

Also says "West Ham was a hammer blow, but it was not a knock-out blow!!"

Nigel Adkins is an inspirational leader to his team and to us fans. I would love him as my boss.

How many poems does Harry Satchelface know I wonder?

Do we reckon he knew he was going to come out with that, or was it purely spontaneous? He's just stepped it up another level from the Art of War stuff. Love the fact he isn't your run of the mill "at the end of the day" manager.

There was an old man from Sandbanks
Who's tax bill caused all of us angst
    But he claimed illiteracy
    As he regressed into infancy

Why is he so happy? Surely Ramirez isn't in for a shock return? Let's hope this rubs off on the team anyway. We really need something on sunday for morale as West Brom is going to be a much harder game away from home

    That is ****ing cringey.

I'm sorry but if you saw another clubs manager doing that what would you think?

It's not like it spontaneously came to him is it? Blatantly knew he was going to say that at some point in that presser. He didn't even say it with any confidence. He rushed it and kept looking down.

I know he has got you all wrapped round his little finger with what he has achieved in 2 years but that doesn't mean u can't think he's a bit of a helmet sometimes.

Sorry. I like most of you chaps on here and I like your club but this bloke irritates me.

Thanks, I'll mirror what you say. Apart from I don't think Sam is a bit of a helmet, I think he is a massive helmet.

Standing on the sidelines chewing his gum in that big coat and a posey scarf throwing his arms all over the shop.

    Ferguson wannabe.

Then again, I'd expect you to find any sort of poetry cringey, however executed. All East Londoners seem to know how to say from personal experience is:

    "Faaaaakin'ell!" and other abusive terms.

Now you've had the little confrontation to have a giggle at, you can move along.

More to the point, if he irritates you why are you reading about him? Obsessed.

Can you imagine Sam Allardyce doing that?

Think what you like Trixter, we love him and he's ours. If he was The West Ham manager you'd feel the same.

While I'm not jizzing myself at this like everyone else (mainly cause it's a pretty bad poem and as you say pretty cringy) did you really need to post that? Just seems like you're looking for confrontation. Not hard to stay away rather than go so hard against the grain, is it?

Come on mate. Cockneys are the best rhymers around me ol' china!

I did say sorry to be fair. But surely you gotta be a little uncomfortable watching that?

I never used to like Allardyce until he took the West Ham job. He is very blunt and to the point I agree. And he does have a degree of arrogance. But since he has been here, the more I have heard from him and read about him, the more impressed I am. There is more than meets the eye with him and I don't think people realise how into sports science he is. And let's face it, he has done pretty well everywhere he has been and deserves to be a bit cocky.

Your bloke oozes smugness having achieved nothing yet at the top level.

Sorry to slag off your manager on your forum. Really I am. I will say it again. I've made some good pals on here and I like your club but There is just something about Adkins. I will say no more.

What do you class as 'achieving'?

Big Sam did exceptionally well at Bolton at the time. But mid-table mediocrity with Newcastle and Blackburn followed, and two sackings.

Although I have to say that is probably Venky's biggest mistake and trigged a massive downturn. It worked out rather well for Sam though.

It might not be to everyone's taste but you can't deny it will raise morale amongst the players. Bit of a laugh at the gaffer's expense always goes down well surely?

I suppose you are right. It was more the replies and how impressed you all were that made me post.

    Sorry.
