With all the lies, spin and misinformation emanating from Charles Green with regards to his vision of the Masquerangers it would be all too easy to dismiss his outlandish proclamations as the smooth talking sales pitch of a dodgy car salesman. When allied to the apparent seamless continuation of the 'succulent lamb' culture amongst the Scottish Hacks and a laughably pliable support base we are left with a heady stench of gullibility masked with unashamedly brass necked Yorkshire bullshit.

Today Charles Green pledged his own future to his new club until they are 'back' amongst the Elite of Europe. A lofty ambition for a fourth tier team whose very existence could be threatened as BDO charged with liquidatiing Rangers Football Club examine the suspicious circumstances by which Green's consortium attained the assets of the now defunct Glasgow Club. So, a desperate sound-bite or a genuine belief that this ambition could be realised? Lets examine some of the obstacles to Green attaining his ambition.

    1) They are in the fourth tier of Scottish Football- This means a commitment of at least five years. From next season Scotland will be providing only one entrant to the Champions League.

    2) Charles Green is attempting to float his club on the AIM exchange. We have been told that some of the money raised will be put towards funding the playing squad. The amount they seek to raise via this share issue is £20m. When David Murray asked the Ibrox 'faithful' to invest in their club he only succeeded in raising a little over £1m. This was at a time of plenty. The light blue hoards recent history for supporting their clubs is hopeless..

    3) Charles Green suggested that his club would never ply their trade in the SPL. Given that Champions League entry is predicated on a teams finishing position in the SPL it is patently impossible for this new club to gain entry into the Champions League Unless...

We have heard utterances from the supporters of this new club that there may not be an SPL by the time the Sevco Franchise reach the top division. Until today I had taken this to mean that the financial impact of the loss of Rangers would be so devastating to the SPL that several other clubs might cease to exist. I have no doubt that this was also the thought process of those that made this hopeful premonition. Now things have changed a little. Green wants his team in the Champions League. He told us that he wouldn't go to the SPL because he wouldn't go where they were not wanted. The reality of the situation is that the economic imperative to keep the rump of "Rangers" alive was the motivation of the SFL and SFA to accept "Rangers" into its ranks. The obvious contradiction of a club simultaneously being passed into liquidation and applying transfer membership from Rangers to...Rangers could be overlooked in order to placate the aforementioned gullible fan base into the absurd notion that history could be transferred from one club to another. For the SPL however, there was no such impediment. Nimmo Smith, Nicholas Stewart QC and Charles Flint QC were on the SPL committee who debated, not the obvious notion that Rangers ceased to be a football club, rather the date on which they ceased to be a football club.

How therefore could "Rangers" participate anywhere other than the SFL when promotion to the SPL would necessitate losing their spurious claim to continuity from Rangers? Well, the answer may lie in this fabled idea of League reconstruction. I think most folk accept the idea that 3 bodies controlling the affairs of football in a country the size of Scotland is somewhat excessive. Most would also accept that league reconstruction is imperative for the development of the Scottish game. The SFA have already shown they are willing to bend the rules to accommodate new Rangers. They have made 'friends' in the SFL. Something is standing in the way of Charles Green and his dream of competing with the elite teams in Europe for the very first time. Something has to give... That thing is the SPL.

I think it is quite clear that there has been a colour change down in Govan. Green and Whyte own Ibrox and Murray Park
and unless the minnows of Ranger supporters stop their drinking and snorting Green will still have Whyte next season as well.
Talk of going to SPL is very premature, not going into administration within the next 12 months is a more realistic target.

Celtic quick news is all over Ibrox and Murray Park getting leased back, I think it's all closing in on them and the end is near to this soap comedy that started on 14/02/12

Yes Harry. Who could have seen that coming?

I have a Heads of Terms document for the sale and leaseback of Ibrox, Murray Park and the Albion Car Park.
The purchase price for all three assets is £7.285m. In addition to this there is a £6.55m loan provision with 15% interest payable monthly (£985.5k annually). Initial rent for all three properties is £1.8m. The 20-year lease provides for upwards-only reviews every five years by either 2% p.a. or RPI, whatever is greater (so assuming RPI is less than 2% each year, after five years, rent would be £1.987m).
Annual costs for rent and interest would be £2.785m. Current season ticket sales are reported to be approximately 36,000 with a standard adult price of £286, income net of vat will be around £8.5m.
Although the top line figure for both sale and loan is £13.835, “the initial payment will be less 3 years rent [£5.4m] to compensate for the lack of guarantee covering the rental payments”, so monies paid would be £8.435m as the first three years rent is deducted from the total.
Crucially, rent is to be securitised against ticket receipts and the new landlord is to be granted “first charge on the season tickets”, so, just as Craig Whyte planned with Rangers, Sports Direct FC would collect ticket money before passing it on to the security holder.
If the buyer attains planning permission for residential properties at Murray Park, a provision releases the seller from having to repay the £6.55m loan and cancels future interest payments. This speculative clause would release the club from punitive interest repayments but would require them to find a reasonably priced ash park to train on. Perhaps the Albion Car and Training Park.
“The tenant” will be able to buyback the stadium. In year one the price would be £10m (they would still owe the £6.55m loan). The set price increases by 12% p.a. for 10 years, so the year 10 price would be £27.7m. Thereafter “price will revert to Market Value but will not be less than £20m”. The market value of Celtic Park is around £50m. There is no buyback provision for Murray Park or the Albion Car Park.
The deal is on the table but will not be signed before the share issue, or if “the tenant” wins the Euromillions Jackpot (that’s not a euphemism for Champions League money, I mean the actual lottery), or finds some magic beans.

harry there are none so blind as those that wont see. It is easier to say that it is a taig conspiracythan to actually do anything about it. If on places like RM or FF someone does step away from the party line, they are automatically named as a taig.
