One thing I noticed yesterday was that a lot of the game was played via Assaidi down the left. That is the way the passing just seemed to go. The players trusted him more maybe. About from one dodgy pass across the 6 yard box, Downing didnt do any thing wrong. He was quiet but got his job done. I think he has been alright in the European games. But he currently has Sterling, Suso, Assaidi and Borini all ahead of him in the player ranks. So getting in the team will be a challenge for him.
