Cant believe nobody has done this already...if you have sorry....i dont mean that, i mean bollocks http://www.leedsunited.com/news/201...-from-leeds-unitedgfh-capital_2247585_2960557
Comments on another site suggest this doesn't represent great progress. Me, I think that anything that confirms this deal is still, after months of protracted fannying about, being worked through has to be a good sign. Maybe this is still the month in which both sides sign & we move on. Would explain where funds for Hall might be coming from in a few weeks time. Next deadline has to be 31/12 to ensure Warnock has the funds in place to do stuff in the january TW if not done in part before hand & then finished off in January (aka Hall).
What it does say is that GFH are either the new buyers, or are fronting someone else. Bates right back at the start told us that he was happy that funds were in place, and GFH were involved. Now it seems GFH have to prove that funds are in place again (Which they've done) So what happened to the original buyers? obviously they didn't like what they saw in the books, or were not happy about the future problems indemnity. Either way this has taken way too long and I just hope we see the last of the old get very soon
I don't care what it says on other sites, the only people who know whats going on are the parties involved. I believe what they say that TOMA is almost over.
Fair point Thombob. It was just that the mood music elsewhere wasn't that great, which I was highlighting. The mmod music on here is mixed at the moment. But I hope you're right & santa comes early this Cliffmas with the first of two pressies; the other being promotion come May!!!
Now this virtually does it for me. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20093882 Sees as though we really are almost there.
What this statement tells me is that GFH haven't been put off by last Friday night, the sight of which we never want to see in a football ground again. It's disgusting, there's no room for it in this day and age, and the one saving grace is that he didn't get on the pitch to embarrass us even more. Yes I'm talking about you Ryan Hall and your pathetic excuse for a moustache Shave it off son
Well we'll see...after too many false dawns I refuse to get excited. What is clear is that IF the TO goes through, GFH will have their work cut out convincing the fans that they are legit. I have rarely seen a more shambolic approach to communication and engagement than over the past few months. So much goodwill has been expended. GFH will have to convince us that they have the resources to mount a credible promotion challenge and to keep us in the PL and that they will govern with an element of transparency and fan engagement that has been painfully lacking in their approach to date.
They can **** off with all the statements!!!!! Just buy the ****ing club! I never like people who are gonnas I'm gonna do this im gonna do that! just do it and then tell us after its done you bellend.
Its a serious financial transaction YWBK, not the purchase of some sweeties. Unfortunately, this means involving lawyers, accountants, & the law. Irritating that its taaking so long, but given what's happened at our club over the last few years, espcially around who wones the club & what they actually own only adds to the overall sense of confusion. The sense of Bates finally moving on is a bit like Christmas eve in a house full of kids. The anticipation is just getting too much for some. We keep being told christmas is coming, only to discover they've moved it again. Heyho, I now really think we're almost there. I can feel Papa Smurf sending someone down to Smiths to pick up a nice pen as we speak!!!
You joking !!! he has enough ****ing pens !!! just sign the deal bates, and make us all bloody happy !!!!!!!
Boggers I know you always try and look at the opposite side of things but look at Forest, we announced the takeover was happening a day before them they took 2 weeks from due dilligence to complete the Takeover. We are still going strong like 120 days later or however many it is.
Bloke at work, Hull fan, his wife rang before lunch to say she tried to park near the club shop this morning and was moved on, as Ken Bates was due to arrive. I work in Beeston so just had a gander down there, and its pretty busy. Saw quite a few people going into the East Stand in suits and 2 gents of middle east appearance being accompanied by suits. Aren't by any means saying that today is the day, but encouraging signs none the less. For the first time during this whole saga, I'm going to stick my pin on the donkey and suggest that this weekend is my token guess.
YWBK, there are a few fundamental differences between us & Forest. Ownership of their club was transparent, ours until recently wasn't. Their new owners allegedly deal in a different environment, so might not have to go through the performance ours would appear to have had to do. Having said that & having noted Bates' comment that even he thought it was taking too long, maybe when it's all done & dusted we'll find out why it's taken so long. Either way, I really do think that the end of this sorry tale is nigh.... 'kin' 'ope so anyway!!!!!
You shake Bates hand you check how many fingers you have left. Frustrating as it is I dont blame the new guys coming in. I will judge them on there actions
