So back to football and why we're all on here.

Alfei and Obeng have gone out on loan to Wrexham and Fleetwood respectively. Good for their development I'm sure but given Obeng's history I would have thought we'd have tried to get him into a higher league team unless he's developing slower than we would have hoped. What do we all think?

Saturday - Laudrup looks like he could pick the same team as the Wigan game. Thoughts?http://www1.skysports.com/football/...-a-recognised-striker-against-Manchester-City

I like Alfei a lot & think this is excellent for him to go out & get regular game time to aid his development. Whether the BSP is the best level for him to gain that, is open for debate. But he's been there once, so obviously that could have swung things. But he's going to a good club, who are in a great position & being a fellow Welsh club, would love them to benefit from any help we can give to hopefully get them back to where they rightly belong, the football league!! If it brings on Alfei too, job done for us!!

Obeng, I haven't seen much really, to offer an opinion. Though Fleetwood are an ambitious club & again, as in Alfei, regular game time is invaluable!! He needs to kick-on for his own sake too. He's 23 after-all, so it's getting crucial for his future development!!

Probably can't see anything wrong with what he's (Laudrup) going to go with & where he's coming from. We need the midfield 'flooded', but also need the bodies available there, to get in the crucial areas. We need Michu too, so sorry Danny & Luke...

Would have hoped that Alfei could have played at a higher level. After most of the top youngsters at Prem clubs go clubs playing in football league at least. Game time is good, but the kid also needs to be challenged.

A league club would have been better, but maybe no league team could guarantee them regular game time. I'm sure ML has a good reason to send them where they've gone. It's a big jump from BSP to PL though.

If he doesn't have the talent to one day play in the PL then what is he doing on our books. All of the players on our books should have the talent, if realized, to play in our first team at some point otherwise they are not worth the resources. Maybe I am not looking at this properly but I would expect that somebody at 19 / 20 (however old he is) projected to play in the PL would at this point be capable of claiming a spot on a L1 or L2 team .... otherwise while he's away, yes he's getting game time, but on a day to day basis he's not being coached at the level our coaches can offer and he's not practising / competing against like talent.

It does not matter what league they are loaned out too as the most important thing is regular football and progress....good move by ML at this time..maybe a few more could be put out on loan...

I don't see any problem with Alfei going to Wrexham, Joe Allen, and Taylor played there too, so think it will be good for the lad, as for Saturday's game I would stick with the team of last week, though I would make a change to the LB position, and bring in Dwight Tiendalli, DG would be on the bench, as would Luke Moore! Lets hope Citeh play the same as they did against Ajax...............<ok>
