So "To coin a phrase" has only one meaning, is that what you are suggesting Nev?

<laugh>

Desperate

Desperate.

You made a **** up and you are going to great lengths to back track.

As Trev said, it's there in black & white.

Accept it and move on.

Sorry laddy but when you've ****ed up as much as you have in 1 day it's hard to take you serious.

Remember you were the one that took it a step further and said that I was wrong and that Cryuff and Rijkaard didn't make up the phrase.

And that classsic piece of Messi trivia that again you got wrong.

Mindy & Russ double fail combo

:)

No, you're wrong and the more you go on about it the more it looks like we were correct with our assumption.

"No...but...but....but...."

Yeah you'll keep on going on about it.

Be a man and admit you're wrong.

Or continue on trying to dig yourself out of a hole, makes no difference to me.

Indeed, it appears that you are the one in a hole because according to you what i said could only mean one thing.

The dictionary definition is quite unambigious, it can mean the invention of a new phrase (that terminology is now however classed as passe') but it tends to mean:

to coin a phrase
something that you say before you use a phrase which sounds slightly silly He was, to coin a phrase, as sick as a parrot.

http://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/to coin a phrase

Don't tell me what I meant when I typed it, because as usual I knew that "if I provide you with enough rope, you will hang yourself" to coin a phrase...

I strung you out and allowed you to make a complete and utter fanny of yourself because "To coin a phrase" has more than one meaning, despite your ****ing feeble protestations to the contrary, it's in the dictionary which you obviously never bothered to check in you haste to make a point.

****ing man up and admit you were wrong <ok>

Medrofail again

Where did I say Rijkaard didn't say it?

Where did I mention Cryuff?

Even when you were right about something unrelated to my Messi post you ****ed up by using the Granada game

You have been running around looking up stats for a campaign that, although I may have not been specific and that may have set your excitement off prematurely, I was not talking about.

Look at how much of your day I have wasted

BARCELONA legend Bernd Schuster launched a scathing attack on Celtic and sneered: You don’t deserve to be in the Champions League.
Schuster hit out in the aftermath of the Hoops’ last-gasp 2-1 defeat on Tuesday.

Ex-Real Madrid boss Schuster said Celts played anti-football in the Nou Camp and also questioned whether the SPL champions should even be allowed in the competition.

Big-mouth German Schuster said: “I’m fed up of seeing these type of matches.

“There should not be teams like Celtic in the Champions League. We saw it last year with Chelsea. It was a very bad example for football and it is regrettable that they became European champions.

“You see Celtic defending with ten men and almost snatching a point — that is not fair.”

Schuster won eight trophies in an eight-year stint at the Nou Camp in the 1980’s and then made a controversial move to Madrid.

He had a one-year spell as gaffer at the Bernabeu in 2007/08 and last managed Turks Besiktas. He now works as a pundit on Spanish radio station ABC.

Barca superstar Lionel Messi accused Rangers of being anti-football after the Spanish giants were held to a 0-0 draw at Ibrox in a Champions League clash in 2007.

Messi, who said he didn’t expect Celtic to ‘strangle the game like Rangers,’ said: “It’s incredible Rangers went for anti-football right from the start, they didn’t want to play football.”

Those sentiments were repeated about Celtic by Schuster, who added: “I believe the coach of Celtic viewed many times the video of Chelsea last season against Barcelona.

“He decided to repeat the system, but the ultra-defensive system is NOT football.

“Chelsea have now generated a school for teams like Celtic to study. It would have been unjust if a team that defended with ten men had taken one point in the home of the best club in the world.

“UEFA needs to change this phase of the competition if they want to breathe life into the Champions League.

“Celtic do not merit their place if they are going to play in this style.”
