Who do you think Newcastles next manager will be after Pardews era?

I would personally like to see Mark Hughes as the next Newcastle manager relying his stint with Fulham is over, with a manager like Hughes you know you're safe. It takes a while for him to get going but when he does he is a really good manager, who could work with Ashley (Also relying we haven't been sold yet!)

This is a general thread to get some discussion going, no mention of viruses, terrorists or Tash' please. <laugh>

Hmmm, entirely depends on how Pardew does...However, common sense says that if we're replacing him, he hasn't done too well, in which case we'll probably be scraping the barrel again!

In an ideal world I'd quite like a young, up and coming manager. Someone who can grow with the club and not just come to us for money or as a last chance!

He could do a good job but when his contract has ran out he may want to leave. Too much pressure, wants higher wage, argues with owner. Possibilities are endless! I'll change the question..Who would you like in charge! Realisticly.

I can see Pardew staying for 2-3 years so who knows where we'll be by then, so can't really say...

Honestly, I'm still not over Hughton...I actually loved the man (90% platonic, 10% badger-hair crush)! He was perfect for the position the club was in, young(ish), new manager who was learning and improving all the time, building a young squad with boardroom who placed all their emphasis on youth. He was value for money, he gave us some of the greatest events at St James' since Sir Bobby and he was respected by pundits, fans, players and journalists! I still to this day wish we hadn't sacked him!

    HOWEVER

Let's say Pardew runs his contract till the end then moves on, someone like Lee Clarke or Paul Lambert...Doing well in the lower leagues, focused on youth and play attractive football, seem ready-made for us!

If I had to choose 1? Paul Lambert! (seems to have the midas-touch at the minute)

Bruce wouldn't take a number 2 spot! I think he still has his eye on the United job in the future!

I most likely will get stick for this but.....Neil Warnock?
I could see him doing a great job, his record of getting teams promoted is excellent and if he was set a target with us and new what he had to reach i genuinely believe he'd be a great manager for us, a bit like Fat Sam at Bolton

I'm waiting for some fool to say Joe Kinnear..<laugh>

Neil Warnock? If QPR don't have them points deducted then I'd like to see if he's fighting relegation with ANOTHER team! Or can do a Hughton job.
