Have to agree with you on that one PAM. It's a good job Brugge have been so bad in front of goal.

 

Ferguson off and Yohan on, Fergie has done well tonight IMO.

 

Very poor match. Total lack of passion and they've made Brugge look half decent.

 

Yeah have to say Newcastle were the stronger team, but should have won it by more. They have done enough but disappointing in a lot of respects.
We are top of our group nevertheless, so all good.

A **** performance ! like I say everyone was playing for themselves up tops and not looking to play anyone else in. The fact is Ferguson is knocking on the door for Jonas's place if you ask me but the worst thing that could have occured occured when Obertron scored. I think would be better playing upfront as he's useless ad a winger but has agood shot.

Very cold game. Sums up how much there was to divert attention from the weather. Bit of a snoozefest, bitty, poor decision making and passing pretty much all over the pitch.

Ameobi on one wing and Obertan on the other, aside from the latter's goal and the odd run from both, will never be a premier league quality attack, in my opinion. Anita meanwhile also looks below par and I'm afraid he'll never work as a CM player.

They'd probably beat the XI we started with.

 

By the way I was talking to a lot of the Brugge fans in Shearer's and they seemed a very decent lot. All knew their football and one had travelled over a time or two to watch us. He'd been over for the Man Utd game and hasn't seen us beaten at the games he's been to.

Gd result for the lads in a hard fought game. I thought Obertan for a change had a blinder and it wasn't just his goal his all round performance, Santon was strong at full back and made some lovely runs. I loved it when Collo came on and he threw himself at that diving header he'll do anything for the cause.

Cisse is desperete for a goal though and he looked well low on confidence he should have buried that header it was an excellent save but he shouldn't have given the keeper a sniff. It was a gd win against as I say a good side, that said I dont know how one one of there players headed over when it looked easier to score, it was a sitter well and truely.

Not the best of atmopsheres though from our lot infact it was crap, and the toon fans should sing more a lot more fair play to there fans who never shut up all match even before the game started. Gd nights work though from the lads. Well done toon.
