Well, that was pretty bad. To be fair, expecting to come into a good team's stadium and roll over them is unrealistic. And Spurs looked decent for stretches. But there were a number of players who just didn't look good enough. Better game from Walker and Gylfi as well. Gylfi at least can create chances. I thought Sandro played very well, as did Caulker.
So what is it,two home matches to come and an away at Lazio? Not a disaster as we are only two points behind the top team but it should have been better. Lost me pony.
An undeserved silver lining for the team though. Without glossing over other poor performances you have to say AVB has been totally vindicated trying to get rid of Huddlestone. Lack of fitness or not he's not up to defending, he's not creating much in attack, infact he's just dithering on the ball. You get the feeling he only ever wants to play defence splitting eye of a needle passes and as it's not hard to close him down he ends up with his options quickly whittled down. On the plus side Falque looked handy today, definitely a useful option to have on the bench for us.
