I have a feeling Downing will play tonight ... <doh>

I hope we see Shelvey and Henderson play tonight. BR might want to rest Allen and Sahin tonight, but if the rumours are correct then both Gerrard and Suarez will start -- even if they don't last the full match.

Confirmed #LFC team: Jones, Wisdom, Johnson, Agger, Skrtel, Gerrard, Sahin, Shelvey, Assaidi, Downing, Suarez.

Confirmed #LFC subs: Gulacsi, Henderson, Carragher, Allen, Sterling, Suso, Yesil.

Edit: No Coates??? Injury? Pretty strong line up that I must say.

Would of preferred Yesil on for Downing and Suarez out wide, but I'm pretty happy with that team

Have to say, strong team, yes but really hoping nothing happens to any of our players tonight. I think BR realized that Anzhi have a lot more in their attack and that we should be much smarter about the back four.

Strong line up considering the game at the weekend. Think I'd take a draw and no injuries from this game in a heartbeat.

Excited to see Eto'o though, guy was absoloute quality and would have loved us to get him before he went to Barca from Mallorca as I understand we were heavily linked with him. Time for Downing to put in a performance and put himself in the shop window for January.

This, or, if anyone gets injured, it better be Downing (not that I want him to get injured, its just a lesser evil compared to anyone else)

Indeed and hope it is all going well at uni. Traore is on the bench for them which should be good for us as well.

Back then but when he was leaving Barca and ended up at Inter, was around the time we had just finished 2nd and we were being linked with Eto'o, Villa, and Tevez.... <grr>

He likes Liverpool as well which was another annoying part.

Lacina Traore- 6'7 Ivory Coast international and meant to be doing pretty well in the league there. We were linked with him when he was at RUbin.
