The "fascist left" is a term that is only used by people on the far right who think that people making reasonable demands like "be nice to others" and "respect the environment" are extremists. It's not something you ever hear about in an actual educational establishment.
Reconstruct that sentence so that it makes sense, and then I'll answer your question (assuming it was meant to be a question).
It does make sense , just because you cannot understand the question that does not make it confusing .
Because the education system I would suppose now is run by middle class left wing fascists ? I respect the environment , I am polite to people believe it or not , I support a number of charities , I dont think like that , I think that by your labeling you are in fact exactly what I have been describing Pass .
"Confusing" is not the right word. If you're asking me what I think of Marxism, to summarize I would say that it's well-meaning but naive. It assumes too much of people, and the "transition period" that Marx spoke of would take a lot longer than he realised, as Lenin proved.
Joe it took you 8 minutes for that cut and paste effort , why does Marxism assume too much of people , social revolution takes time , French for instance ?
I think by "left-wing fascists" GMI means people who combine socialism with fascism. The two aren't totally incompatible (as demonstrated by Stalin, Mussolini and others), which just highlights the flaws of the left-wing/right-wing spectrum. It's too simplistic to try and put every philosophy under the description of left-wing or right-wing, because there are philosophies which encompass both. It is idiotic, though, to suggest that liberalism can be combined with totalitarianism. They are directly contradicting terms. The author who GMI linked to to support his argument totally disregards this, because his agenda is simply to give liberalism a bad name.
Pulling one sentence out of a conversation I was having, deliberately taking it entirely out of context to suit your purposes and posting it in such a way as to suggest that I am in some way naive, is really not on.
I don't want to write an essay on Marxism just for your benefit. It assumes too much of people because the proletariat are expected to revolt, and then stick by the Marxist philosophy during times of social and economic upheaval which is brought by this transition period before the final stage. Marx expected that this transition period would only take a couple of years, and that the proletariat would see it through. What happened when Lenin put it into practice was that the economy came close to collapse several times and, by the time of his death, Lenin had predicted that this transition period would actually take a couple of hundred years. Obviously the people of Russia were not happy with the economic situation and they quickly turned against the idea. The assumption that they would all remain united behind Marxism through these difficult times was naive and very unrealistic. That is why this hypothetical final stage has never truly been reached anywhere in the world.
Of course you can. He was a Bolshevik. His reign took some pretty ugly twists and turns, but he was always a proponent of "socialism in one country", as opposed to Trotsky's idea of worldwide revolution.
The old prole , would you accept Marxism now ? Do you think its admirable ? I think it may appeal to you in your nice cosy home ? But the reality is often an awful lot harsher . Anyway we digress . Your political views are exactly what a fascist lefty is , unable to take another point of view on board . Apathy to their own Country . Complete mistrust at best and hostility at worst at someone being patriotic . An inherent patronising mechanism to stand up for minorities whilst patting them on the head . Complete and utter mistrust of any authority (note not questioning here note mistrust) An absolute love of the law if it seems to favour ones self .
How the heck can people have gomarchingin on an ignore list. He is priceless entertainment. Not only do I want him as the next saints manager, I now want him as PM. Can you combine the jobs gomarchingin?
Just because I don't take your point of view on board, don't take that as meaning I don't take anyone's. Most people have more merit-able opinions than yours. I think it's both laughable and sadly ignorant that you would describe me as a fascist. I think you might benefit from an evening with the dictionary. Yes, I mistrust patriotism: it is pointless at best, and nationalist/racist at worst. Authority and the law should always be questioned rather than blindly followed. Any intelligent person knows that. Would I accept Marxism now? No. Is it admirable? Yes.
Yes I fully understand that but there was nothing socialist about the millions he killed , he was as far from a socialist as you will find .
