I agree! He at least needs to win the FA cup to have any chance of keeping his job. A trophyless season will not be tolerated. Who would replace him though? Actually, Pep Guardiola is still unemployed...
I really enjoyed watching Ajax tonight. Great football but living on a knife edge at the back, It reminded me of another team I love watching!! Trouble is Saints defence crumbles.
They have some really good technical players. Eriksen was class tonight. I tipped him to perform at the euro's, but he never really showed what he was capable of. Great to see him playing well on a big stage, I don't look so clueless now!
I think Malaga deserve a mention. Financially in the ****e, sold their best players (Cazorla, Rondon etc) but they beat AC Milan 1-0 tonight to make it 3 wins out of 3 in their group.
They still have Kameni, Demichelis, Camacho, Toulalan, Saviola, Julio Baptista, Buonanotte, Santa Cruz. They must all be on some serious wages.
Mancini needs to stick with 4 at the back. he is an idiot for trying to play 3/5. he is Italian so it is understandable his frustration of unable to get it to work but it clearly isn't working or going to work any time soon.
Not nice to wish ill on anyone but we could do with a couple of injuries to Spurs players tonight. Spurs fans seenm to think that AVB will put out a strong side so let's hope they tire themselves out!
Looking at their probable team, I must say I've underestimated the strength in-depth they have got. Tonights game will help us little on Sunday, its going to be about how we play that will matter.
Gareth Bale and Emmanuel Adebayor have not travelled with Tottenham for the Europa League tie with NK Maribor. Bale remained at home after his partner gave birth at the weekend, while Adebayor misses out with a back complaint. Hugo Lloris will start in goal, while Mousa Dembele (hip) and Scott Parker (Achilles) are also missing. Defenders Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Younes Kaboul (both knee) complete the injury list for the trip to Slovenia.
I'm sure we all hope that Maribor give Spurs a real good kicking tonight. Would not complain if Defoe played 90 minutes.
Yep spot on result, need Fulham to do the business on Reading for us. Reading have been looking better in recent weeks though, I think they could get a result from this one.
