Stop grinning. Your face will stick like that. Bit embarrassing when you don't like comedy. Prometheus isn't bad. Not many laughs in that
You don't deserve it after that heathen comment. Never take the name of our Lord Kubrick in vain Bladerunner?
I watched Dumbo with the boy the other day Edit: Didn't realise it was made in the 1940's though, would have guessed at 70's...
Never been a fan, it's not that it's good or bad I just think that by the time I watched the film it was very old. I love being fussy with films, keep them coming.
American Horror Story so far has been excellent. Top one last night and another twist in all the tales!
...District 10? Saw Rushmore, Luv. Again, not a bad movie, but I'd not say it was primarily a comedy. I smiled in a couple of places (always liked Bill Murray), so it was head-and-shoulders above The Royal Tennenbaums. I've decided that, along with David Lynch and the Coen brothers (to a lesser extent: I liked True Grit, Fargo and The Big Lebowski), I'm not a Wes Anderson fan. I'll stick with Kubrick, Fincher and Nolan, I think. I know you said you didn't want comedies, but I have a suggestion which, although it is labelled a comedy, it's not really IMO. I thought it was very much in the style (somewhat) of Wes Anderson, so you might like it, if you haven't already seen it. It's 'Submarine': a British film by Richard Ayaode of Mighty Boosh and IT Crowd fame. If you haven't seen it I think you should, as it seems very much up your street. Non-comedy suggestions: The Game - Fincher. Insomnia - Nolan. I Saw the Devil - South Korean chiller / horror. V. Good! Kingdom of Heaven (director's extended cut) - Ridley Scott epic. 1408 - Hafstrom horror (John Cusack has rarely acted better, and a good showing from Samuel L. Jackson). A History of Violence - David Cronenberg. Nightbreed - 1990 horror by Clive Barker, the director David Cronenberg has an unforgetable turn acting as psychopathic killer. Classic!
What's Ray? Seen Gran Torino (very good) Million Dollar Baby was good until it got all soppy and ****.
