Get the Diet Assistant app. Or go to weight watchers on line, I think there's a cheap three month trial. The only diet I should stick to is stop the cooked breakfasts of any sort. No McDonalds breakfasts, no bacon butties, no sausage butties, no full English. If I could do that for a couple of months I'd guarantee I would lose a stone.
I'm just going to try an not eat anything until I get home from work. Possibly try and cut the wine out at home also.
No meat works well only fish, shellfish and veg. I had to go on a diet for heath reasons recently and lost 16lb in a month on that diet.
Made an impromptu spaghetti bolognese last night. Had all the ingredients bar any red wine and I ain't going to lie, it was magnificent. Recipe is for anyone interested; 1 onion, chopped 1 celery stick, chopped 1 small carrot, chopped 4 cloves garlic, crushed 500g lean beef mince 2 fresh bay leaves 1 tin chopped tomatoes 4 sun dried tomoates (if to hand) 1 tea spoon tomato puree 1 dried chilli 300ml beef stock 1 glass red wine 2 handfulls of musrooms dried mixed herbs fresh oregano salt an pepper Put the finely chopped onion, celery, carrot and garlic into 1 table spoon of olive oil and fry off slowly for ten minutes till soft Add the mince till brown then add the red wine and reduce by half. Add beef stock and tin of tomatoes and tin full of water and bring to simmer. Add tomato puree, bay leaves, chopped up sun dried tomatoes and the sliced up mushrooms Add dried herbs, dried chilli and salt and pepper to taste and simmer slowly for 1 hour. Remove bay leaves and serve over al dente spaghetti with chopped oregano and grated parmesan.
Top tip for any bolognese is 1/2 beef mince 1/2 pork mince cook for 1 hour leave to go completely cold then cook for 30 mins.
Yeah, you know what I missed off that is some diced pancetta or streaky bacon, which I would usually put in but didn't have any last night. That gets added to the carrot, celery and onion and browned before adding the mince. That's my pork input!
Got the minced pork from an old italian cook book may years ago and havent looked back, it goes back to the old italian cooks that would mince wild boar meat in with the beef.
Don't tar with with the same brush as a retired manc copper who resorted to featuring in double glazing adverts, you strange twat.
That spag Bol sounds nice. Don't usually put carrot in mine though I do in a lasagne.. Having stew and crispy cheesy dumplings tonight..
Best talk about food and booze again I reckon seeing as how football is so tiresome. Had a Diavolo down the Express on Sunday Sweats. Twas hot. In fact, hot enough for a bit of sting the next day. No idea what is for tea. I finally ascended to the heights of genuine bona fide Dad yesterday. Drving back from Manchester when my lad spewed all over the car. Great stuff, too much angry birds and orange juice had taken its toll. On the side of the road on Dowlais Top (Luv) cleaning down car and shivering child. The car stinks, minging.
