Aye but aren't apples different? I don't know like, I'm just going off my dad (mega-apple geek) told me, but from I understand Apple deliberately make it easy for the user: either click yes or no...Where as microsoft don't make it that simple?

A .exe file can be unknowingly downloaded when visiting a website that disguises it, I'm not stupid, I know what malware is and I had to remove it via microsoft security essentials upon rebooting my computer. At no point was I offered a "run now" or "save" option regarding a .exe file.

-nothing can be downloaded to your machine without you saying yes to it, specially on windows 7. Basically if that has happened, You dont have a firewall + anti virus. IF you have both its impossible, if you have just one then that is unlucky, Not everyone is stupid no but the majority of the english public are

Depends on the operating system you're using, or security settings tbf, and if you're using a broswer like IE it can download files without asking too.

  10. This is why i don't like some people sometimes sticking up for me, i actually don't want people to be dragged down with me.

Anyway, i think this whole thing was a massive over recation. The link should have been deleted, and that should have been that. I apologized.

It was a work computer with windows xp. Only has a basic anti-virus package but the point is no one should be knowingly posting links to dodgy websites.

Yes certain things can happen, but honestly anyone using IE and anything older then XP sp3 is asking for trouble, use firefox and windows 7 or xp sp3 and hay presto no problems caused by microsoft

    Firewall - zone alarm
    Anti Virus - AVG free

  14. Can't stand Zone Alarm, it pops up before everything you go on and there's too much allowing or denying.

Why don't we just permanently ban him? Is this site ran by the FA? Or actual mods? Because not even on the old 606 would this stand.

Why do we not just ban him? Our mods seem to be taking a page out of the FA's method book. He's hated, he's a fool, he's a racist, he's got terrorists after him ( <doh> nobhead) GET RID.

Should be a lifetime ban for what the smart arse tried to do! Would he pay for repairs needed to other users computers? Would he ****!
