Agree on both points but I'd try offering Torres back to Madrid plus some cash for Falcao, he's a legend there and worth a shot. That way he doesn't join a rival in England. As for the points on midfielder, I think we have plenty, Oscar can play CM and as Varier says De Bruyne can. We also have Romeu, Mikel, Ramires, Lamps and Josh so we're not too bad. Striker it priority for me, whether that be buying a new one or giving Sturridge his chance as our goalscorer.
Again a new CB probably isn't that necessary. Thomas Kalas, Jeffrey Bruma, Nathaniel Chalobah and Sam Hutchinson are all on loan atm, and I really think Kalas is a talent. I think it was mentioned he'll be back next season. Hutch and Bruma aren't too shabby either, and Chalobah looks great (though still some way off). Heck we even have Ake.
Most everyone has got things right on this thread. We do have loads of options in our loan players and up and coming kids, , talent to burn. But with Lampard probably marginalised at best and gone at worst in January, midfield is in need of a close look for this season and next, until a youngster breaks through. Can't see why the Sturridge thing is not being settled either. Play the poor bugger, and let's see if he really is an answer or not. Everyone else has stepped up with game time, and I include Torres. He might be frustrating, but he is doing loads of good work and scoring a few.
I agree! We have the personnel. I think Romeu will be a class act soon, McEachran is playing every game for 'Boro in the championship which should improve him (especially the physical side). I've said it many times before - 2 quality players for each position! You can't have any more without disharmony in the squad. We have 4 quality CM at the moment with others who can do a job there if the s*%t hits the fan as well as one or two that can be returned from loan. We are top of the league, we have beaten Spurs and Arsenal away from home and Newcastle at the Bridge (+7 points on last season), only one team has scored more goals than us (hopefully this will be rectified on Sunday!) and no one has conceded fewer goals than us! The system we play isn't reliant on one person scoring the goals, and even so Torres is only 2 goals behind the leagues leading scorers! We've had a bad game against Shaktar, but that was always going to be difficult - a 4.5 hour flight not long after an intense London Derby, playing aginst an in form quality side with an outstanding home record infront of a very hostile crowd! Don't think too many other English teams would come away with much from the Donbass!
Bodanki Apologies also, poor control when it comes to "we need" threads, more so when they appear after a loss. If we had a Falcao then granted we would maybe be perfect, but I've never known a perfect team but seen one that I love win things without being perfect
