That the number of posts from Hull fans on this board is directly proportional to the difference in our league positions? True story.
We're as far away as we possibly can be though, so we cant really get any further away, i don't think Nigel knows what hes doing, this whole "top of the league" thing is just not working for inter-board relations Although lets be fair, the ones that are coming over here now are the nice ones who aren't afraid to give credit where its due.
Hull could slip lower though, so it is possible for us to be even further apart. I agree though, some of the Hull fans seem genuine and nice, and I actually don't mind them posting on our board, I'm quite interested in what they have to say and they actually contribute to the conversation.
Fingers crossed you are as far away from us as possible and we begin to close the gap. It seems that we have caught your early season inconsistency though. Credit where it's due, another good result for you last night
Charlie... is off with his best mate mr. bruce or stevie as he calls him..I know stevie confides in charlie at the training ground on tactics..hence last nights debacle OLM... is down in London at MENSA to recieve his "know all of the fookin year" award..then he's off down the west end to buy a new pair of bicycle clips
Haha yeah, I've said before that I don't mind Hull really, I managed you on the last FM and quite enjoyed it, and developed a little bit of a soft spot. Unlucky on catching the inconsistency though, we caugh it and couldn't shift it for months... Seasons, even!
please log in to view this image I'd agree with that, this is our first decent run for a while, hopefully we don't slip back into old habits.
In fairness, we haven't been inconsistent. We've played well all season. We just didn't get the results we deserved in a trio of away games.
Obviously, I will have to take your word for that as I don't watch your matches, but I thought you had a thread on here talking about your inconsistency? Don't worry Miami, we'll probably go up if and when you do. But if we don't I'll still come and visit. Wouldn't want you, fallen and Walsh 5 to miss me too much
Inconsistency as been a problem for us for years. Last season it was a bit of a running joke that we couldn't get back-to-back wins. This season is a very different story, hence our league position. Let's hope it stays that way!
Fair do's - I (wrongly) assumed that the thread referred to this season. Hopefully we'll get over the blip as quickly as you have this season (so far)
You may be right, some fans were hypercritical of our start (particular after the Burton defeat), but the majority agree we've been good in all league games.
Oi I wasn't hypocritical - I was very critical and with very good reason - There's no one mentioning the feeling in the ground at half time against Burnley when I genuinely believe Pearson had 45 minutes to save his job. Notwithstanding the above Pearson did indeed save his job and has exceeded expectations since then
We're always going to have fans over-reacting, if we lose to Palace (even if we stay top), the radio wont be worth listening to. I cant agree that we have been good in all league games, no team are, but we are picking up points from the games where we are poor. Burnley is a good example, yet it works the other way, i personally think we were better than Wolves and BBurn
As Barwell pointed out I didn't say hypocritical and I'm sure it wasn't just you. End of the day the Burton match was very early on (I was on a late summer holiday when we played them!) but I confess to being a bit embarrassed by the result (can't really talk about the performance) so I do understand why people were angry, especially if they paid to see the rubbish served up against a League Two side. Thankfully though, two months later, it remains the nadir of our season so far.
