So what is the best pie (other than hair pie of course) that you would go for? You can include sweet or savoury, pasties too. Asda do an "Ultimate Steak Pie" that is awesome and if you ever find a West Cornwall Pasty shop (loads of them around London in train stations) go for their large traditional cornish pasty, even better than pasties I tried when I was in Cornwall. Honourable mention to Greggs steak bake for all you pikeys and scousers. Deep dish cherry pie for pudding and you have the perfect meal! What about a Scotch Pie? Our local bakers used to do them and they were absolutely mint but sadly off the menu now. At the footie we have Pukka chicken balti pies, curry in a pie is a taste sensation. What floats your pie dish?
Yep, a steak pie is hard to beat. She makes a crackin turkey and leek pie. Nice change of pace from chicken & leek
Pieminister pies are ****ing lush I could eat most pies to be honest, love them with some mash and a bit of gravy.
Home made steak and kidney and home made apple. Dunno if the rest of you are like this with any of your mum's cooking but that is one thing which I still have to make sure i go round her house for when she makes it!
My ma's home made soup if amazing. A chunk of crusty bread and a big bowl of it and that's yer dinner sorted.
When I was in York I had a Venison n Wild Boar pie ... outstanding (in it's field!!!) Steak Pie is a winner - especially at New Year with soem mince and stewed sauasages. Fish Pie can **** off!
