Poor team selection. Mclean can be effective when he comes on and harries for the last twenty minutes, but he's got nowhere near the quality required to be a starting striker and Proschwitz is a girl, but with the ability to finish. If we could mix the attributes of Mclean and Prossy into one player, he'd be the player we should have bought. Poor Andy Dawson looked so far out of his depth it was embarrassing, I think that was possibly his worst ever game for us. Having Dawson and McShane together on the left was a right mess, if Dudgeon isn't going to be ready for Saturday, then I'd get a loan in, or play Townsend. Rosie was fairly poor too, possibly because there was a rumour last night that he's been told he's being released at the end of the season. I thought the man of the match vote might be hard after this one, but on reflection, I think it's probably just a case of deciding the order between Chester, Quinn and Elmo. We were poor, we deserved to lose, but the game could still easily have gone the other way, they were fairly messy at the back and I hope the twat with the drum got run over on the way home.
If you mean our mascot, I didn't see him. If you mean Roary Evans, he looked quite good when he came on, but ruined his early work with a horribly misplaced pass. I think he'll get the nod ahead of McKenna on Saturday. Really? What was the origin of the rumour? Im not saying it's not true, but Id be surprised about someone being told before Christmas. It would normally be as we reached the last 6 months of their deal. I wouldnt be surprised if it did happen though, as ace as Rosie is at defending Bruce clearly wants his full backs to have an attacking outlet either as a wing back or overlapping with the wide midfielder. I fully expect us to sign Elmo what with both the Bruce and Egyptian link plus MoN not wanting him so I cant see us having an experienced, excellent player being happy in the ressies.
That rumour might well be complete bollocks, it wasn't from someone I know, it was just someone who was with a mate of mine.
If Rossy cant be guaranteed first team football when Hobbs returns and we revert back to a 3-5-2 then he may well be wanting to leave
