Scored for QPR? In your opinion. It matters not if you were there to witness it. But please elaborate if you were, there is nothing like being there at the time.
Could it have been mackies winner against Liverpool last term? A draw that night and the same subsequent results would have seen us down. Could have been curtains. Could say the same about cisse v stoke or I suppose any goal that earned us 3 points.
Fenwick's brilliant header against spurs in the cup final...Great memories of walking to wembley from loftus road with hundreds of Rangers fans... Cisse's goal against stoke in our last home game in May....
That's the point. Two of three posters have posted a goal but added others as alternatives. One solitory goal is all that is allowed. Whether that be in the 50's, 60's, 70's 80's 90's 00's or 10's it doesen't matter. Just one goal......
Damn you! You beat me to it Matt Couldn't agree more, that for me was the catalyst to our promotion. His celebration was top notch too, can't remember celebrating a goal from my armchair harder than that one. Thinking about it, Mackie has a great nack of coming up with vital goals. Should definitely have more of a role in the team, but I have a feeling he'll be much more involved in the hectic months ahead. Hopefully we'll get the fitness right so that we won't have to waste subs on fatigue/injuries anymore and instead Mackie can come of the bench winning us matches again.
There are loads! But maybe because it is the most recent and I remember its impact the most, Cisse's very late winner home to Stoke that seemed to pull us out of almost certain relegation end of last season, is the one for me.
Marl Lazarus winner in the 67 League cup final, Keith Sanderson flattened Sheppard in the wba goal and Mark rolled in the winner,
I would go for Rodney's goal in the 67 final as it made the team and us believe we could win. The noise was deafening from then to well after the final whistle. I actually thought it was Ron Hunt who flattened the goalkeeper but you could be right. I was jumping up and down like a madman as were everyone round me celebrating the ball in the net. A wonderful day and a blurred night.
You could well be right about Ron Hunt, being 12 and standing on a box the pitch was a bloody long way away,i know it couldn't have been Tony Hazell because the keeper would have been in the back of the net,Lets give Roger Morgan a mention as he scored the 1st that started the comeback.
Rodney Marsh, 4th March 1967. Gave the team (and the supporters) the belief that we could come back and win; confirmed my status as a lifelong QPR supporter; inspired my incredibly imaginative user name on the world's best fans' forum.
