If this is true then Pearson obviously doesn't think Futacs is going to cut it this season. We have three relatively young strikers that are going to struggle to get in the team. If we get promoted, they're not going to have any chance. Personally, I'd snap Jones up and loan out Futacs and Waggy, the latter maybe with a view to selling. Keep Schlupp as fourth choice.
All well & good, I like him as a player & yes I think he´ll do well in the npower too. But how long is the loan going to be for ?
Great, another round of rumours because Pearson said that we are looking for loan players I bet if he hadn't said we were looking, this story wouldn't exsist, all the journos done is glue stuff together. LOL Links to another story they ran which only says: Where the hell did they get "known admirer" from? "Finding goals hard to come by" ... we've scored in every game!
I'd agree but it would still be more likely that he would move to a struggling Prem side - particularly if it is a loan deal rather than full transfer .. I wouldn;'t be suprised to see either Villa or QPR come in for him ...l
"Championship leaders want the Potters striker to help them build on red-hot run of five wins a draw from their last six matches" I like the sound of that!
Definitely would take Jones, though I'd rather not get a targetman, just not sure I want us to play that kind of football anymore.
Nigel Pearson said live on the radio Kenwyne Jones isnt even on the radar and he has no interest in him
Not entirely surprised ... but we do need to start banging them in - if the BBC stats are correct, we had a 1 in 16 conversion rate last night (and 12 of the 16 were on target) ... we need to be be turning that to 1 in 3 or 4 if we are going to stay at the summit! Waggy is well out of sorts in front of goal at the moment and it may be the right time to give Jeff Schlupp or Harry P a run-out whilst Vardy fully recovers from this 'illness'....
Like i said in the other thread though, Kuzack is one of the best keepers in this league, we did well to get 1 past him, they have only let in 8 all season. Doesn't matter anyway, as long as the defense do their job, and 3 clean sheets in October show that they are doing that well
For those that didn't hear it, its at the end of this clip. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19958174 Just like i thought, stupid papers gluing 2 and 2 together and getting 17
Disagree with your last point ... we got out of jail last night in that they SHOULD have converted a penalty - which would then have been two points dropped in a game in which we had all those chances ... can't keep doing that.
I agree with the above post. For as hard-working as our current forwards are I think the addition of a quality finisher is needed. Need someone to put all these chances away
