Sounds like City have had a slow start, but getting the odd bit of play here and there.

Middlesbrough started brighter, playing it around nicely, but not really threatening too much.

That's about what I've deduced from the Swanny/Burnsy commentary.

    Half time.

The consensus from the 'Umberside boys is that 'Boro have had the better of it, a couple of chances, but only a slight difference.

It sounds quiet there, not a lot of crowd noise, not a lot of action by the sounds of it.

City seem comfortable enough, but not really threatening.

Some good larkers on the bench though...

Our match sounds dire, but a point up there is a good result. Just hope it;s not like the Boxing Day fixture last season, where they beat us in the last few minutes.

Watching the results around the championship tonight shows how tight this league is. We're drawing, but the scorelines (so far) of seven of the other matches have effected our league standing- we've been up to 4th, back down to 5th, back to 6th and now we're just outside the playoffs.

So hard to predict this league.

Champions League is also bizarre- how the **** are Ceptic beating Barca away? Braga beating United and Chelsea losing to Shakthar.

Half-Time Report: Goalless in first half at Riverside Stadium

    By Callum Mulvihill, Reporter
Filed: Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 20:33 UK

An uneventful first half in the Championship clash between Middlesbrough and Hull City at the Riverside Stadium ends goalless.

In a tight opening period, the first chance fell to Hull's Aaron McLean but the forward failed to hit the target with his curling shot from the edge of the area.

Middlesbrough started to dominate possession as the first half progressed and could have been ahead when Marvin Emnes found space inside the box, however, his shot was weak and Ben Amos was barely stretched while making the save.

Amos was tested again before the break and his defenders were quick to congratulate him for pushing away a powerful Grant Leadbitter strike.

Even funnier man u were 2-0 down after 8 minutes! Should be level but they had a goal wrongly disallowed for offside.

City sound lacklustre to me, sounds like ye olde boro could have had a couple, sitters by sound er it
