The previews are here to stay due to the majority of you saying they were actually worth reading!

    Middlesbrough
Similar to City, Middlesbrough have had a good start and are fairly capable of winning a match but just can’t seem to beat the teams that they’re expected to. They’ve had a good start and are currently 3 unbeaten consisting of 2 wins and a draw. 2 wins notably against a strong Brighton outfit and Udinese B – sorry, I mean Watford. Their forwards are always a danger and have something different to offer. Emnes is pacey, tricky customer and will take advantage of any mistakes made by City defenders. Jutkiewicz is strong at holding the ball up but also has the playing ‘off the shoulder’ of the defenders and will look to capitalise on some through balls. McDonald is also a threat and City fans should remember the horrible first half hat trick he scored back at the Circle 2 seasons ago. Putting the good results behind, they have had some very appalling defensive displays too, losing to the likes of Millwall 3 – 1, Blackpool 4 – 1 and Barnsley 1 – 0 earlier in the Season. Boro’ are always a formidable force at home, and City in particular don’t normally get anything from the Riverside, but they are also showing weakness in defence meaning they also have the defensive Achilles heel – no pun intended for Matty Fryatt there.

    Hull City
‘Inconsistent.’ ‘Frustrating.’ ‘Brilliant.’ ‘Paul McShane playing well? Wait, what the…’ Have all been words affiliated with Hull City football Club this Season and rightly so. The Tigers have proved to the League that they can dispose of any opposition easily – should the chances be taken. They have also proved that they can lose to anybody – should the chances not be taken. Isn’t it a funny League? Steve Bruce has certainly brought entertainment back to the KC and got back to winning ways in dramatic style with a – thank God - late, late brace from Ze German Nick Proschwitz. City fans have great optimism for the future of the Club this Season but City’s inability to beat teams in the lower reaches of the League looks to halt the Clubs march towards a top 6 finish. It is however, very early in the Season still and whether the Tiger’s brand of football can remain sustainable throughout the duration of the Season is one to ponder. The likes of Jay Simpson, Aaron McLean, Nick Proschwitz, Sone Aluko, Ahmed Elmohamady and Stephen Quinn have given City that extra sharpness upfront this Season and it certainly isn’t going to be a repeat of last years ‘Goals Scored’ tally.

    Super Tiger's Prediction
Both sides are very similar in a sense and it should be an attacking game. I reckon City will end the Riverside curse just like Elland Road prior to this fixture. City will edge it 2-1.

This would be a better victory than Leeds (In football terms, not for the fans)

To be fair; they might as well just call it off now.

The weather and visibility appear to be dreadful
IF it goes ahead; I agree with a 2-1 City win. With McShane scoring an own goal :).

P.S. I'm not a newbie, it's the same Leeds Met Tiger as before, I just can't seem to log on via the facebook connect.

A very good summary of both teams, keeping is coming. Will be happy with anything from this one, let's hope Boro's home form, which seems to be worse at the moment than their away form continues, expect a draw 1-1 with the hope of a win, if we can take more of our chances.

Boro have won 3, drawn 1 and lost 1 at home this season in the league.

Would happily take a draw and would be ecstatic with a win

I think it's a fallacy that we don't beat teams near the bottom. This season, we've lost 4 games, Blackpool and Blackburn are both currently in the top half, Leicester who currently top the table and Peterborough who are bottom. So we've only lost one match to a bottom half out of 4 matches lost. Meanwhile, in our last 2 matches, we've beaten Sheffield Wednesday and Ipswich, the two clubs who are in the relegation zone with Peterborough, as well as picking up 7 point out of a possible 9 against other sides in the bottom half(Millwall, Charlton and Bolton). So I'd say on reflection, we're actually better against bottom half teams by far and don't have an 'inability' to beat them.

As much as McLean isnt my cup of tea in terms of football, he certainly makes the team laugh!

    Very bold.

Someone suggested it on the other thread, presumably it's to give the other two a rest. Aluko is talented but frustrating as hell and Simpson didn't look as good on Saturday so I can understand it.
