    Live on ESPM

    KO 8.05pm @ SJP

Brugge are our visitors on Thursday night as we look to draw a line under another feisty derby and consolidate our position at the top of the group. As is the norm, it is expected that Pardew will field a weakened side although I would imagine Cisse will play some part in proceedings.

    Squad
Raylor, Gosling and Vuckic are the long term absentees but it looks like Pards has a pretty full squad to pick from with Tiote being availaable also.

    Betting
    To follow.

I'm going. Think the starting 11 will look a bit stronger due to injuries to vuckic and gosling, might see amifilitano start. I want to see young Campbell get some game time, if we are winning comfortably give him 20 mins at the end or something.

    ------Cisse----Shola------
    Marv---Bigi---Anita---Ober
    Fergie--Saylor--Willo--Perch
    ----------Elliot------------

Although tbh, Bordeaux beat them 5-0, we dominated bordeaux, so this should be an easy win

Would rather rest Perch for Sunday and go with Tav.

I think they are going to get it personally. I saw the real Newcastle yesterday for the first time this season. Perfect game for the likes of Cisse, Ferguson, Obertan, Anita, Marveaux to keep themselves right/spark to life. Please though Pardew, never bring Obertan into a derby again. The lad doesn't have the cojones for it. Indeed I'm not sure he'll ever adapt to the intensity of the English game, he is too meek. I was actually pleased when I saw him as I saw a counter attack killer in prospect but he didn't want to know. SAF let him go because of a character problem and I can see why.

Rotate Perch and Anita through the game if needed.

I can't believe we're not appealing Tiotes decision but I suppose the concern is it will be considered frivolous by the idiots in charge. As such you might aswell play him in Europe.

Am I correct that serving the suspension for the red wipes out his yellows ?

Also, one game or 3 ?

    Probably stupid questions, sorry.

Not sure on the red wiping out yellows, could well be right? He'll get an automatic three game ban. I'd appeal it but they know the FA better and know how they'll judge these things.

Well, if the red wipes out the yellows, and he was on 4 yellows, and the appeal would be to reduce his red to a yellow, there isn't that much in it.
