Not a single incident? Well according to the home office statistics 12 Norwich fans were arrested that season - 5 at home matches and 7 at aways - 2 for violent dissorder, 4 for public dissorder, 2 for pitch incursion and 4 for alcohol related offences - but don't let fact get in the way eh
If that is true TC and I will trust you on it, your basically agreeing that Leeds had more problems in 1 match than Norwich did over 46 league plus X cup games or put it another way your problem is roughly 50 times bigger than theirs. Hardly painting Leeds in a good light is it?
**** me, 12 arrests. TWELVE. ALL SEASON. that must be one of the lowest in world football. thats two arrests for serious offences. the rest are for minor incidents, even the two who ran on the pitch were chucking their season tickets away as a protest, they weren't aiming for violence, and a third of all those 12 arrests were for drinking too much and getting a bit mouthy i suspect. jeez, you're right - we have a massive problem. i'm talking about incidents like what happened on friday or indeed what happened that day at carrow road when leeds visited. you can't even say leeds have more fans at their games, hence more arrests because norwich matched leeds home attendances that season, and were the 2nd best away supported.
No light to paint - they (Leeds) have their share of hooligans as do most teams, but to jump on the bandwagon and criticise the whole of their support is ridiculous - so its ok if Norwich and Ipswich have a punch up once a season? Clubs like Leeds and Millwall have done more than any other club to erradicate this sort of behaviour
But you said earlier you "didn't have a single incident in any other match apart from Leeds" - obviously a blatant lie - why would you do that?
the thing is TC, It never stops at 'just a punch up' with leeds fans does it! they have a brand of idiot/coward second to none in this country. I will ask the question again TC, How come if leeds fans are so rightous that not one proper fan attempt to stop this coward when he ran back through the crowd?
http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/public...rrests-banning-orders/fbo-2010-11?view=Binary Hoppers, have a read for the stats yourself. Leeds 2nd most banning orders in the Football League, only Cardiff ahead and 1 5th of all championship arrests! Lovely club!!
Tractorbhoy, we will probably have leeds fans on here saying that they are doing something about it because they had so many banning orders, interesting reading that out of 25 incidents of missile throwing leeds had 7 of them, and out of 22 breaking of banning orders, leeds had 5!
I have mate, TC FYI; Leeds had 149 Norwich had 12 Ipswich had 20 Leeds had just under 100 more arrests than the next worst offender....... Out of the 10 types of offences you managed to find 1 that both Ipswich & Leeds came out the same with 1 each.....well done..!
It is also worth noting that the season before both Ipswich & Norwich arrests remained almost exactly the same. Leeds however who lets not forget are working so hard at getting their act together regarding trouble at their games, had 85 the season before......well done again..!
85!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what did they give up counting after the first yorkshire derby?
Also interesting that media darlings Man Utd had nearly twice as many as ANY other club, yet try to find anything in the media about it. My club were instrumental in the "kick racism out of football campaign" yet we still get labelled as racist thugs my said media! http://www.independent.co.uk/voices...t-out-shirt--and-hell-pay-for-it-8219726.html
Fans are there to watch the game not to take law into there own hands. How much worse would it have been for leeds united if a guy or even a few guys go over and try to grab him for the stewards only to get into a huge fight with the group that he was obviously with. Now, not only has a fan gone onto the pitch and attacked a player but leeds also go under investigation for the camera catching a huge fight as well. As I say fans aren't there to control the law
fine, i didn't word it well. i was referring to it in relation to the leeds match which was surrounded by disgraceful incidents. i wasn't lying at all, as proven by your post which points out that there were hardly any incidents at all involving norwich. it doesn't show individual matches but i wouldn't bet against leeds having had more arrests during the match at carrow road than norwich did in an entire season.
