http://www1.skysports.com/football/...gry-with-Leeds-fans-for-Chris-Kirkland-attack The whole Leeds v Wed derby was added to with chants from both sides, now i'm no fan of Leeds but if anyone was doing chants about those 2 giys who were killed in Turkey, they are as bad as the idiot who hit Kirkland, any other chants about Jimmy Saville, or **** like this is stupidity beyond belief. I just read another one about Sunderland fans singing they wish Steven Taylor (Newcastle) was dead because he'd come out in the press saying no Sunderland player would get in the current Newcastle team, who cares, they say **** all the time to wind each other up & that's what fans should do by being funny with their songs, not brain dead insulting. This goes for every team in the country including Hull. I go to a game to be entertained, yes have a laugh if there's a fat guy waving his belly about with no shirt on in the middle of winter, he's up for some fun, not people who are dead or were killed in a disaster or whatever. I was at the Hull v Bradford game at BP when we were given the North Stand & when I came out there was riot vans parked at the top of North Street & the police throwing people into them all, running fights on the streets & bottles & all sorts being thrown all around me. I don't want to be involved in any fighting or trouble when I go to a game & it really pisses me off when I see **** like this. All these football gangs who are up for a "rumble" when the opposition come to town should just **** off down to the edge of town in the middle of a deserted area & do what they like. The less in the ground, the more the normal fan can enjoy the game. My next bit of a rant goes to those that have that ability to look back & see everything that went wrong & now can say that this guy was ****, that guy was ****, well at the time I recall most people not saying that & regardless of what type of person they are now or turned out to be in what people say I don't care & they should be shown the respect they had with what they did, no matter how small it was. This bit is mainly about Peter Taylor, who, yes, had his faults, the whole Charlton thing left everyone a bit sour, but what he did for us was great, think back on the player who did nothing & be sure he did nothing, Chris Lee was terrible but while he wore the City shirt he was a City player, I supprted him. He scored the odd goal, don't remember where or when or against who, Junior Lewis likewise. Why is Nigel Pearson slated so, because he left, ok, because he was a **** manager, er no, I think without him we would have been in a worse state then ever, yes he was negative but at the time we loved it as we had one of the tightest defences in the league. Barmby was heralded as the local boy done good & now was going to lead us to new heights, when he was suspended, the Allams were turning the City against them, now not even 6 months later, it turns out Barmby was a terrible manager & didn't have a clue. REALLY? Rants over!
I agree with everything you say Bruce, especially the bit about turning on all our former managers and pretending they were crap all along. It's just petty and childish.
Its too easy for people to compare our current team to Nick's and say we are better now. We obviously are but its not a fair comparison
For those who slateJimmy Bullard now, is this the sort of person you compare him to. http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgu...WFUJaKJeik4gTOhYH4CA&ved=0CEAQ9QEwAw&dur=1170
Anyone who doesn't like to see anyone else criticising any past player or manager, is probably best off staying away from message boards.
I obviously don't understand the thread Football fans are just a subsection of society as a whole , including , idiots , morons , racists etc etc One dickhead leeds fans is just that
Are football fans a cross section of society? I don't think so. Do posters on sites like this reflect what the general support feels? I don't think they do. The fact is that just because you read posts or make posts, you do not represent anything or anyone but yourself. I for one slate Pearson, why? Because of the way he left. I slate Bullard, because he could have been more professional in the way he conducted himself whilst recovering and drawing a huge wage. It sometimes is only after someone has gone you realise how bad they where. The newspaper down here has a back page asking if Nigel Atkins should be fired. Last season he was hailed as a saviour now he's facing the chop. It goes with the job.
Terry Dolan was a crap manager and don't get me started on Stan Ternent, wonder what he's doing these days ? To be honest we have had some dreadful managers so the ones that are OK like Little, Barmby, Pearson, Joyce should get a bit more respect off fans. Can understand some on here not liking Pearson especially with all the childish stuff with the Leicester fans you have to read on the site
I thought he did OK compared to the likes of Molby/Hateley and some of the other donkeys. I missed Peter Taylor off my list of good managers.
He got us in the playoffs in the season we were in admin, then wasted a lot of money (in D3 terms) afterwards.
I think Nigel Pearson was one of the best managers we ever had ... Until Steve Bruce gets us on an unbeaten away from home run then I rate NP above SB ... BUT I support SB 100% Peter Taylor, Two Promotions and a decent manager at our club. Win , Lose or Draw and what ever League we are in I will always support Hull City.. I wouldn't be surprised to see Leicester City stay in the top 3 all season. And with a bit of luck we WILL finish in the top 6 and then anything can happen. If we finish mid table fine I won't turn on the manager , players or owners . I think the championship is a great league ...
