He's just bagged a hat-trick for the reserves! Hope yet for the lad maybe (doubtful I know)?

 

I think he's been treated like **** and shoould get a chance at some point in a cup competition.

 

I would agree with that if he didn't have a performance bonus on his contract. If we play him in a first team game we've got to give him extra. He's not worth it. I'd rather play Adam Campbell.

There's no guaranteeing that bro. We should get shot of him as quickly as possible.

 

I've heard something about if he appears for the first team deportivo will be due a payment. May be rubbish but could easily be true. Agree with tash though. Adam Campbell would benefit more from first team action. May come a time this season though that we might not have a choice but to use xisco in some form.

 

You do know we have to pay a fee to Deportivo the next time he plays.

 

Not saying the "us having to pay a fee" thing is untrue, but he's only made nine appearances for us so far. Surely any appearance based add ons would be based on him playing more than ten games? I'd have thought it would be based on something like 30-50 games as if you pay close to 6 million for someone it's almost certain they'll make more than ten senior appearances, why wouldn't the add on fee just be included in the original fee agree with Deportivo? All seems a bit strange to me.

There is a fee, but if we play him and he does well, we give him a couple more years on his conrtact, instead of having to buy another back up striker, could be worth it.

 

Whenever he plays when fit he seems to be reasonably effective. Just play the man already, his treatment has been a disgrace

 

As a side note, if I went to a Spanish club, they froze me out like we have done with Xisco, then randomly called me back for a reserve game, I'd find it hard to raise myself to the extent that I score a hat trick. Says a lot about his character and maybe his desperation to get another chance?

 

He was a Spain U21, obviously felt his career was going places then he is unfortunate to get caught up between the whole Keegan/wise/ashleygate. I would have probably packed it in by now

 

Sorry, but no. Any attacking midfielder or reserve striker has shown much more promise than him. And they wont cost a penny to play.

 

Have you ever watched him play? I seem to remember a keen eye for a pass which he demonstrated by splitting the Villa defence in the 6-1 game. Scored on his debut to boot in an absolute shocker of a team

 

He played a good pass vs a Villa side who conceded 6 goals vs us when we just got promoted ffs. One decent pass doesn't mean ****.

If he was that promising, our last two managers would have played him more often.

 

I know you like to think of yourself as the oracle of all things football but stop to think there may be another reason like, oh I don't know, a much talked about appearance clause that will force another payout from the notoriously tight Mike Ashley. Our ability to see him perform has been somewhat limited as such and so we have to go by what little we have seen but what I have seen is a damnsight more promising than some of those that were getting games.

How old is he playing for our under 21s?

 

If that's the case then we shouldn't even be discussing it. If his payday is significantly increased due to an appearance then he'll never play for this club again. No point in even contemplating his inclusion in our future games. Mike Ashley is our owner = no more Xisco.

 

It's not a payday to him, its another fee to his previous club, Deportivo I think
