The more time you spend reading this board, the more you'll realise how tedious it all gets. We all know where the problems are with the team. Some people seem to think that flooding the board with their complaints is somehow going to be helpful. As he says, GMI just wants answers...from us, apparently.

 

In what way does that mean "conformist"? It's a joke that has gone over your head.

 

Barry a lot of people have agreed with you all through these debates .........the trouble is you are saying the same old things. What you see as Fact others see as opinions..........They, like you, are not necessarily wrong it's just a different way of looking at it.
I would be surprised to be called a conformist and as for a happy clappy.....hmm no I certainly would not think you would include me in that......especially as I have challenged your views with reasoned arguments. Someone who chooses to be pedantic on all points though, is very difficult to agree with. For what ever reason it builds a wall between you and other people so that eventually it doesn't matter whether you are talking sense or not ....they are just not going to see it.
You say you demand answers why we have a Championship defence.......Well, demand away but like you we are just ordinary Saints fans we cannot give you the answers you are looking for.
We can only surmise....just like you!
Somehow what ever the reason I doubt that you will find out any quicker than anyone else and certainly not by stamping your size 9's on here..............

 

Just taking an interest whilst doing some work that's all. All is very quiet in the world of West Ham at the moment.

I don't think there is any doubting that you should have signed an older centre back and I am surprised at how "ok" with it you all that you " at least tried and failed".

Having said that, I think you will pick some points up before the new year.

A few key signings in defence in january and I think you will survive fairly comfortably.

That's all I have to say on the matter.

 

I don't think we are okay with it - I know I personally am very upset that we didn't strengthen our defence enough and it's horrible watching us play so badly at the back (and, indeed, going forwards against West Ham...) but I'm in control of my emotions enough to not spend every waking hour complaining about it on a forum. I think most people will agree with this.

Yes you would because you are the rational face of Southampton , emotion isa foreign word to you , you clap cheer and are happy happy happy all the time .
You get served up tripe and are still happy , other fans of other clubs would be going mental and questioning but no not us we are happy happy happy.......................

 

I feared for us defensively when we were only days from transfer deadline and we only had two established CB's whose ability was untried at this level, Yoshida bought in last minute. In pre season Luke Shaw and Jack Stephens were getting games, I assumed they would be utilised in our squad, though I was apprehensive if we had to play them in PL because of their ages and inexperience. LB also a weakness even more so when Harding shipped out, (expect to get slated for this bit), but I would of preferred him playing LB last Saturday (round pegs in round holes) than Yoshida. Unfortunately my fears (and yours) have been founded and like you am disappointed with our lack of defensive acquisitions in the summer.

But I don't expect answers, and certainly not on a fans forum!! I will be at every home game and most away games supporting my team, if that classes me as happy clappy, so be it. I've given my opinion in a structured way, don't expect every one to agree with me. I respect that as long as they're arguement/opinions are also structured. People would more likely respect your opinion if you didn't run round this board like a bull in a china shop.

One last ditty, Seaborne imo should be given a chance against Spurs.

Your probably right, but debatable some League One sides would not of conceded 24 goals in 8 games.

Seaborne was in 1st team and playing well, in Championship before his injury. Not saying he's the answer but Fonte, Hooiveld and Yoshida look shot on Saturday. Desperate times, desperate measures, clutching at straws but I know one thing.....NA has got to change something.

 

They would have done playing in the Prem ... Seaborne is not the answer - the answer is someone or something not with us right now I think

Why don't you just drive to St mary's, sit in the carpark and then ask Nigel for your answers when he comes out to get in his car? Why don't you write to Mr cortese and ask for an appointment or ask for the answers in the letter?

If not, maybe you're not as passionate and emotional about it as you make out.
