There is no telling them Trixter , no telling them at all , you would of thought our club was building the great pyramid of Giza , if your club did it why not ours ? If other clubs got defenders in why not ours ? If they failed to get players in then someone is responsible , my brother worked in the money industry for years and there are jobs in acquisitons say , if you dont bring in enough business you are gone , out the door .

The same should be done here , unless there is someone above Adkins really pulling the strings , I can not believe people are not seeing this .

Well, to be fair, we only brought in one CB to add to an already fairly strong set of defenders.

The fact is, we were an experienced defender short and that's what we went straight out and got.

Saying you tried but had no luck isn't something I would be very happy to hear from my own club.

I wouldn't mind betting that even when you signed clyne and yoshida, you all still felt you weren't strong enough at the back and that has been proven with your 3 goals conceded per game average.

You say a deal for Ogbonna fell through. Does that mean you just give up then?

We agreed a deal for Mangane. He failed a medical and within a few days we had signed Collins instead.

I'm not showing off about how well we done. Our club has been one of the worst run in England over the last decade. I'm just saying you all seem happy to accept the "we tried but had no luck" excuse and that surprises me.

I cannot believe that there wasn't a single experienced defender in his thirties within your budget that would have jumped at the chance to sign for you.

The people on here are all happy clappy and complete and utter conformists when it comes to this club , maybe thats why we have such friendly and pleasant fans now but the atmosphere is crap , I want answers , I ****ing demand answers to know why we have still got a Championship defence that was average last year ? If they think they are good enough they should not be near a football club let alone a Premiership one .

How will posting the same thing 30 times a day on a forum get you answers?

So you disagree there should be no one having to answer why our defence is still bollocks as it was at times in the Championship last year ?

We have employed a centreback who is untried at this level , the team he played for previously leaked the most goals in the Eredivsie last season .
Clyne is a good buy but we gambled on him playing at this level and it has to some extent paid off .

I don't think there should be someone on internet forums answering the doomsday cries of random idiots, no, why on earth should there be? If you want answers then go to the ground and demand to speak to somebody, if you actually "****ing demand(ed)" answers then you'd actually try, rather than sitting and moaning on and on and on and on and on and on and on on the ****ing internet. Nobody here is going to answer you because nobody can. I've said it about a hundred times but you ignore it so that you can carry on making yourself happy: Everybody knows our defence is bad so stop making it seem like people are in denial.

But Mr Nice. Don't you think it's a little strange that the fans are just happy to accept the "it wasn't for the lack of trying" excuse?

If you missed out on some superstar defender, you surely should have had alternatives lined up?

Going into your first prem season with a back 4 of early 20's defenders is asking for trouble.

You are in denial by saying lets concentrate on the next game every game , our season started in August but then it did not it started at Everton but then it did not it now starts against Spurs <laugh> Christ how long are people going to swallow that for ? Well seeing as its Meryl and Beryl (Southampton FC) probably all season .

We should have signed another centre back - almost nobody denies this, almost everybody has admitted this. However, Gomarchingin feels the need to point it out several times every single day as if he's the only one who has spotted our defence is as bad as it is. Why does he do it? "To get answers", as if any of us can give them to him. It's ridiculous.

As for "it wasn't for the lack of trying", well, it's true. We did try, but it didn't come through. We should have done better and that's why nobody's completely happy with the window - that said, we can't pretend the whole management staff is blind to defensive problems.

He and them think it makes them better fans for being non questioning <laugh>

See what I mean, trixter? He's oblivious to the fact that everyone else agrees the defence isn't acceptable even though I've plainly stated it isn't. No getting through to him.

Fair enough chaps. It seems to me that you both agree that the defence requires strengthening but one of you is happy to accept the club tried and failed and the other thinks the club should have tried harder. I must say, as an outsider I'm with the latter but obviously I'm not that clued up on what went on.

All I will say, is that the Ramirez transfer seemed to rumble on for a good few weeks before it happened. I do wonder if perhaps a bit too much time was spent on that when perhaps you should have maybe made other areas a priority.

That may be completely wrong but just the way I see it.

I have no idea why you think that will happen. Why not go down to St Mary's and ask? Or if Liverpool is too far away, give them a call or send them an email demanding answers? You'll be more likely to succeed than you will whining on the internet.

Why because i dont agree with you? Adkins is out of his depth that is clear to see.He did well to get us to where we are today but im afraid he has reached his limit .WHU went for big sam because he knows the premier league inside out.Our big oppurtunity to establish ourselves as a premiership force is fading fast and im afraid with the team as it is and an inexperienced premiership manager we look certs for the drop...........
